Hell yah. Put me down also. I would love to experiment this scoop to fit my s55. I would prefer just a neutral color like black though.

One factory's previous work for me:

They also do intercoolers, heat exchangers, blah blah blah, and are SEMA participants.

An MQC of 100 in steel, with only 1 single painted color (not powdercoat) would probably be needed, and getting the set (INCLUDING SCREWS THAT FIT GDAMNIT.. ) landed into West coast USA shouldn't cost more than $30-35 Add a bit of packaging/shipping to CONUS folks, call it $45 into everybody's mailbox? Or is that still too expensive for 4 pieces of TIG welded steel plates? Someone else on the board can even handle the payment/distribution. (I just need my production deposit back in full).

Really rough numbers here as I don't have the scoops at the desk, but we can think of this part as the crowdsourced/kickstarter "MBW's very own air thingies that do nothing" (no TM, no PP).
Kudos to you bro , for having connections overseas. If its possible you think you can fabricate these scoops to fit the S55's W220? I know the guys over on the S55 forums would jump on this in a heart beat since none have ever been made to fit easily.

Also you think you can fabricate something similar like this rear diffuser for S55's or E55's?:

Thanks.

Hehe. The THIRST for affordable AMG-compatible cosmetic parts is real. At a production cost of ~$30/set or so, I won't worry too much about being out of thousands to make a mould/start production. This isn't my line of work, I just happen to know these folks. Let me get started and I'll post up my progress in this thread. Since I'm not a sponsor, I don't want to get banned by IB, nor do I want to be involved in day-to-day sales/ordering/shipping, etc. Hopefully a vendor will contact me for a way to distro these out once (if!) they ever land in the US.

Obviously the part would only be in black...

I don't know the W220 audience, but I assume there isn't enough demand to ever warrant a 100 unit run. There needs to be "many guys" or else everyone would suffer the Weistec/Renntech pricing structure. If you're interested, get me a sample, and I can get it into the hands of the manufacturer and someone else can be responsible for the upfront production cost.

That's a CF part. Talk to gary @ suvneer. They ship tons of CF into US, but again, MQC is probably at LEAST 100 units to start production, if not 300+ etc.

Put me in that number 15 slot.

Who's going to let us borrow their set for the goodness of the community?

***In full disclosure to anyone reading, I would love to buy a set from Bruce at TTM however it appears he is difficult to reach. I think we all agree that we have no choice but to make our own set. I think Kevin has made sufficient attempts to get in touch with Bruce. If he's not willing to take my business what can I say?***

So, who's going to be kind enough to let us borrow a set? PM me if you don't feel comfortable announcing it to the public. I will take them to every fabricator on the West Coast (and I know a ***** load of them) and get the best price on a group buy. I am confident we can get them made right here in the good old USA for around $40-$50 per set..

Here's a thought.. Get 100 sets made and sell them all for $100 (half of what they were going for) give half the profit to Kevin and the other half to a charity. That way everybody that buys a set is saving a ton of $$ off what those did sell for, and spreading a little good will in the world at the same time.

I am trying to figure out why people want to buy a worthless part just because it is a "good deal." Do people desperately want to say they have another "mod" on their car?

To me it don't matter if it is $10, it is still a waste of $10!! Much better spent one dollar at a time on some strippers.

Strippers don't go to college! I did just go to a club recently though, first time in a long time and was talking to a girl there that said she had been there for 3 years. Started when she was 18 and was 21 or 22 now, but was quitting and moving to Texas from Florida. I inquired why Texas and she said for boot camp! She was joining the Air Force lol, that is going to be a change.

And I am talking when they are on the main stage, shake your stuff in front of me, get a dollar, grab my face and shake it in your *****, get a dollar. Those dollars can add up!

Extra lovin ha? Never had that happen or offered You go to Monz Venus in Tampa? I hear that is the best one but never been. Closest I have been to something in that area of Florida would be Cheetah in Sarasota. They have valet outside which I didn't use but had to pay money to park my own car there!

Oh and Chris I am a cheap ***, they always try to get me for the dances and have to let them down gently. Sometimes I get froggy though, but usually figure it is just a waste of money to blow $30 to have some half naked chick dance on me for 3 minutes.

Full nude in South Florida where I am from (and currently at) but only topless in like 2 places in Jax where I live now then the rest are "bikini bars" where they wear bathing suits unless getting a dance where they will take top off. How gay is that?!!! Never been in one of those, what a waste.

Never seen anything like a strip club I went to in Prague, Czech Republic though. They have "lesbian erotic shows" where 2 pairs of girls get on stage every 2 hours and literally go to town on each other. It was insane, I couldn't believe myself that chics were eating each other out haha. And nobody tipped either, it was so weird and different, myself and the 2 guys I was with are the only ones that gave some money during them dancing on stage. I guess the only money they make is doing lap or table dances or some kind of hang out with them and get drinks thing. It was expensive though, like $50 for a lap dance and after the lesbian shows they did 2 for 1 dances. I guess people don't tip while they are on stage because the smallest paper money is worth $5 U.S. the rest is coins like they do for the Euro.

....better get yourself tested out there com-padre. Dunno what that xtra love involved with a stripper will cost ya in the end lolz..

Ohh I dont give a shiat, I still want a pair of scoops so I can experiment with it trying to make it fit on a s55 with that low price that was offered.

Speaking of Strip Clubs, there was a place in Orlando, called RAchels, before they got raided on and close down due to more than dancing strippers ahem! It was more of a brothel than a strip joint lets put it that way. Had ladies lying fully naked with fresh sushi on there bodies during sushi hour with gents eating off them. Can't get crazier than that

They won't make your car faster. Money better spent on a double cheeseburger, or maybe some Hooter's wings or perhaps a stripper.
