Kleeman headers, 3 inch exhaust pics?

Hi guys

Getting headers put on..was thinking about running 3 inch pipes to the stock secondary cats and then running 3 inch stainless pipes to the axles....
what do you guys think...can I see some of your set-ups?
I don't want the car much louder.
I was thinking of doing Magnaflow cats and an X pipe but worried about sound or drone.....
what do you guys think?
Can i see pics of your set ups and your thoughts on them.
Thanks

It would make more sense to build a new 3" mid section with high flow cats and an X-pipe from the headers to the rear axle. If you plan to use secondary cats, they are located behind the rear O2 sensor so it will throw a check engine light. Eurocharged tune for the headers turns off the Post O2 sensors DTC's however it will fail our new Driveclean since 3 of the monitors will not be ready. So if you are due for an etest anytime soon it's something to consider. Best way would be Headers> 3 inch downpipe into a quality 3" High flow Cats, into an x-pipe, then neck down into the stock piping around the rear axle area.

This is a picture of my early setup, I have longtubes, but it shouldn't be much different. In the picture, I had a true dual setup which I would not recommend. I installed an H-pipe afterwards and felt a SUBSTANTIAL increase in torque over the duals.

Thanks Alex...i didn't realize how this would effect me on drive clean...should i do an H or X and where should i place the O2s?

I don't mind doing a true 3" with aftermarket cat set up...just afriad of the car getting too loud or any sort of drone..what do you think?

I also have a set of TTM 02 simulators, that i was told would prevent the check engine light from coming on

ps...pic doesnt work....

and i have to etest in October...i'd like a set up that passes

X-pipe and H-pipe are usually very similar in gains, X-pipe is believed to have the most gains. However with that being said, all factory AMG exhausts that I've seen use an H-pipe style crossover. It was more convenient for me because the piping kit that I got came with a universal H-pipe, so I decided to give it a shot.
The primary oxygen sensor should be placed before the Cat, and the secondary O2 should be placed after the cat. Don't worry about the drone with the stock mufflers. I had no drone with the setup you see in the picture, and adding an H-pipe quiet it down even more.

What are the TTM simulators? Are they O2 extenders or are they electronic?

So your set up will pass the new emmission testing??
Its just an 02 extender....TTM said it would prevent the check engine from coming on.
see pic

Oh and what kind of cats are those?

Shifter has a nice set up and if you go with that and cats, you should have virtually no drone. I would use better cats than the magnaflow, as I have blown out 2 sets already and they are junk for the flow these cars have. Flex pipe is a must or your headers may crack pretty quick with out them. Have seen a lot of headers crack already on these cars and stock manifolds.

Thanks. I have to give props to Steve ( E55amgrocket) for hisnguybmaking the x pipe section I just had the flex pipe added to it. It sounds great. I've actually had guys follow me to the gym just to talk to me about the great tone when I get on it. Note this happens cause my workout buddie just got a new BMW s1000rr and we play on the way.
