My unique trunk tank install

Well i think its unique Been putting off the trunk tank install for months now because i was afraid of losing my spare wheel. But i finally came to a conclusion and the system seems to work flawlessly. (only been 2 days but im keeping a close eye on everything.

completed

2 hook tabs that notch into brackets bolted to the bottom of the package shelf

mounted, used another small bracket on the front and use a wing nut to quickly drop and re-mount the tank.

two main hose's and also the drain hose

hose routing thru right rear wheel well

through but not touching any of the suspension components or axle shaft, even when the suspension is compressed there is plenty of room.

heading up front

the tank mounts strong and sturdy, can be dropped down to pack with ice within 10 seconds and reinstall just as fast.

did you read?? lol. it has a hook system in the rear and a wing nut in the front that holds it up in front and also holds the hooks in place.

all i do to drop it down is remove the wingnut and slide it toward me a inch. and it drops right down. i left just enough slack in the wiring and hoses to allow plenty of room to set it down and fill.

well i seem to get atleast 2 flat tires a year driving here in michigan.. so the last thing i wanted was to remove the spare for the belly pan trunk tank mount. i could have mounted it in the belly pan and kept the spare on top of the carpet panel but then i wouldnt have room for my golf clubs

now i have a trunk tank and spare in factory location and plenty of room for golf clubs lol

From hat I can tell, your mount is pretty ingenious in order to keep the spare.

I like this approach. How much room is under the bottom of the tank? Can I still fit 3 small prostitutes back there?

once the spare is in, there isnt much room in there to run hose's. plus i would need to hack out a large section of the spare cover and would look a little more tacky imo.

i like this a lot because the tank is up high and all the hose's route right alone the side panel. all of the spare/jack/tools ect are easily accessable just as they are stock.

I'd rather have it in the spare well, but that works great if you need to keep the spare. Nice job!

No but if you say Denroll backwards slowly it sounds like LLORNED which means nothing but confuses the hoes long enough to chloroform rag her and wrap her in duct tape

I am scared to not have a spare tire. I drive the car long distances and already have had a need for a spare with only driving the car like 10,000 miles in the last 2 years!

That is why I didn't do a trunk tank and made my under the hood tank that holds about 1.5 gallons. Because the spare is a life saver so can't put a tank down there and then a bulky tank in the trunk takes up room for putting stuff back there!

Was thankful for my spare while traveling and this happened.

While this setup is interesting, I think it would still be an issue when trying to stuff the trunk with stuff though since it would be handing down only giving a small amount of room under it for small stuff.

looks good nice fab work on your brackets. I have a question about the second pump is it in the tank or is it mounted outside of the tank? Also how did you do the wiring to the 2nd pump? You don't have to get in to much detail but just something simple if you don't mind?

its a Rule 200 bilge pump that mounts right inside of the tank.

trunk fuse i tied into. i ended up running the wire from this fuse and along the top package shelf hidden. this fuse has power in key position two.

here is the front fuse i tied into at the fuse box for the meziere front pump. both have power at key position 2
