My unique trunk tank install
Well i think its unique
Been putting off the trunk tank install for months now because i was afraid of losing my spare wheel. But i finally came to a conclusion and the system seems to work flawlessly. (only been 2 days but im keeping a close eye on everything.

the tank mounts strong and sturdy, can be dropped down to pack with ice within 10 seconds and reinstall just as fast.

did you read?? lol. it has a hook system in the rear and a wing nut in the front that holds it up in front and also holds the hooks in place.
all i do to drop it down is remove the wingnut and slide it toward me a inch. and it drops right down. i left just enough slack in the wiring and hoses to allow plenty of room to set it down and fill.

once the spare is in, there isnt much room in there to run hose's. plus i would need to hack out a large section of the spare cover and would look a little more tacky imo.
i like this a lot because the tank is up high and all the hose's route right alone the side panel. all of the spare/jack/tools ect are easily accessable just as they are stock.

I am scared to not have a spare tire. I drive the car long distances and already have had a need for a spare with only driving the car like 10,000 miles in the last 2 years!
That is why I didn't do a trunk tank and made my under the hood tank that holds about 1.5 gallons. Because the spare is a life saver so can't put a tank down there and then a bulky tank in the trunk takes up room for putting stuff back there!
Was thankful for my spare while traveling and this happened.

While this setup is interesting, I think it would still be an issue when trying to stuff the trunk with stuff though since it would be handing down only giving a small amount of room under it for small stuff.

so even if i do a trunk tank i have room under there

looks good nice fab work on your brackets. I have a question about the second pump is it in the tank or is it mounted outside of the tank? Also how did you do the wiring to the 2nd pump? You don't have to get in to much detail but just something simple if you don't mind?

its a Rule 200 bilge pump that mounts right inside of the tank.
trunk fuse i tied into. i ended up running the wire from this fuse and along the top package shelf hidden. this fuse has power in key position two.
