You know I was really impressed with the whole video but then I realized the 1/4 mile time was 10.7 at 135mph... didn't Gadget get similar results if not the same from his Weistec powered E55?... with less horsepower and torque.

That is exactly the thing I've yet to understand. 850HP with that transmission and it's only trapping 135. Not impressive.

Remember those numbers in that video are engine HP not Wheel HP. We left a great deal on the table for that 1/4 mile run. Once we outfit it with a full exhaust and some cooling mods we expect that time to drop dramatically. In fact just the other day with some more work on the car we broke 820whp on the dyno. When the ALPHA 9 package is complete you can expect some much better track results and Vbox times.

@ 0:58 in the vid, it visually shifts to 3rd, but you don't hear a shift from the exhaust note....

-How is the transmission holding up at these power levels?
-Have you had to modify the transmission at all?
-Will your completed project and kit include transmission work?
-If not in the transmission, where is the "weak link" in the drivetrain?
-Will the AWD 2014 model be able to cope? (oh dear lord I hope so).
Thanks!

We actually did a test on our Mustang dyno..we have both a mustang and a dynojet. People always assume we use the dynojet because it reads higher and that simply isnt true. We actually use it because the Dynojet is more consistent.
Here's a funny but honest video of what to look out for when using dynos like the mustang and dyno dynamics where calibrations can make HUGE differences in how must power it records on the dyno.

I'm glad to see you all here and actually providing info and taking questions. Here's a few for you:

-Will your completed project and kit include transmission work?
-If not in the transmission, where is the "weak link" in the drivetrain?

The transmission is holding up fine but we do see a need in the future for improvements and we are already hard at work on some really nice upgrades.
I don't believe our completed kit will include any transmission work but possibly further packages beyond that will. We do think that a built motor will also be needed if the envelope is continued to be pushed but we are already almost done with that program as well
The 2014 4matic should not be a problem. We have done some research and I think the system will be fine but time will tell. We do have a 2014 4Matic E63 and a CLA45 on order from our dealer and hopefully both will be here more sooner than later.

Funny you should say that.

This kit is sick, I forsee the vast majority of E55 owners to find themselves in a W212 biturbo soon, once they start depreciating of course lol. I cant wait to see the #s the 2014 4matic puts down after kits r made for them. They may even be able to comete w/ your world Quickest R35. I know thats a along shot.
