Damn..... It sure is a dirty game
Last night I was heading home and as I got to the gate of my housing community I saw a beautiful Lexus ISF. It was dark blue, dark tint, stock wheels and a mean sounding exhaust.
As I went throu the gate he went through also in the other lane. So I slowed down to see who was driving and you will never guess what I saw.
As both gates went up at the same time, I got a clear view of a Pembroke Pines cop. He was in full uniform and was on his radio. I pulled out first so he got behind me. Once he got behind me I could see inside his car. All I was looking for we're the lights and sure enough I found them. This was in fact an unmarked police vehicle.
Sorry, I couldn't get any pics, as I could see him watching me at this point. But this is a BIG HEADS UP to the SFL crew.
I think we should start a thread and post pics of the unmarked police vehicles and the area you see them in. What you guys think?

I bet there's a lot of nice confiscated vehicles in south FL. There's a sheriff in a small town between Houston and San Antonio with a gallardo thanks to a drug bust.

Wow. Thanks for the heads up.
I lookout for any and all american car. Recently saw a tinted, white, new style dodge Durango unmarked patrolling i95 as I passed him at 80.
If you think theres an unmarked in front/behind/beside you, always look for an outline of their lights through the tinted windows from front to back, if you're good, you can spot them.

There is also a black Tahoe with a skull sticker on the back window ( lower left). The cop kind of looks like the Rock from fast five.
And a black ford dulley lowered and all blacked out lights, emblems, windows and everything else. I saw it on I75 and even the side markers were flashing blue and red.
Be carefully guys!

I got pulled over once by a cop in an all white Maxima - all windows blacked out (which is illegal in CA) - he drove like a total douche - nearly crashed into me, and was trying to race me - so I took off since he was just a threat on a rain soaked road... he flicked on the lights when I went over the limit to get away from his crazy ***...
When he pulled me over he had a black t-shirt and just a badge hanging around a chain on his neck. I said "what the **** are you?" he just responded "license and registration" and wrote me up for 60 in a 45
Needless to say, his interaction was so memorable I won the ticket - I wrote an 11 page dissertation to the court in response to the ticket, with maps and describing his driving style over the 3.2 miles we covered before he pulled me over
I haven't seen that car since...

I've seen a dark color mustang pull someone on 395 too. It seems like fishing with dynamite to me. Sure its more fun for the cops, but lets not lose the art of the hunt...

Yes - Ive run across a few of the black chevy trucks now myself in the Houston area. We also have an unmarked blue hemi charger r/t with wheels and exhaust running around the Humble area. Coming to a light I saw the car and was thinking I had little race coming.. Until I got next to it and it was a fully uniformed cop with the lights on the flip down visors. Assuming it was some drug car, just amazed they left the exhaust because it was fairly loud.

i find the story a little hard to believe. Now, an off duty officer driving his personal IS-F while wearing his uniform is a little more likely..

It's what happens when tickets become a revenue stream. My home state actually passed a law that if a city's income is above X% in traffic tickets then they get their ability to write traffic tickets taken away for a certain period of time. It got to the point where you basically couldn't drive through a small town. That or a state congressman got caught with his mistress. Either way ill take it.

If you knew how bad the street racing scene is down here it would make it easier to believe. He apparently lives in my gated community, so I'm sure I'll see him again. I'll start posting pics of all the unmarked vehicles I come across.

There are a lot of unmarked cars for a variety of reasons that you would never suspect.
Undercover officers drive unsuspecting vehicles all the time but they switch out every few months or so......so the vehicle isnt their personal vehicle per se.
Some use their personal cars. Some uniformed officers drive unmarked vehicles that are fit for light duty.
I would say if these cars are bought then they would have to be on public record. Seized cars are not published for public view and thats very important if you are doing undercover work..
What I've personally seen
Aventura....They have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, A Nisaan Armada, Nissan Maxima, Ford Mustang 6cyl. I believe these are seized.
Broward Sheriff Office uses two marked challengers RTs in full stripes and light bars, unmarked camaros, unmarked Rams, unmarked minvans, sebrings, 200Cs. They use to have Saabs 9-5s. All these vehicles were fleet purchases.
Miami Dade Police I have seen a W204 C Class with full undercover lights. This was a seized vehicle.
Davie Police has a full stripe and light bar Corvette (seized) as well as a new Mustang GT (part of fleet purchase).
Skagit County Sheriff in Washington State has Subaru Legacy GTs and Imprezzas(Fleet Purchase)
I would venture to say that the officer in the ultrasonic blue lexus IS is his personal vehicle. If it was undercover, he would not be seen in uniform. A vehicle like that would never be bought publicly as it would be scrutinized and after building the huge waste of a city center, the city of pembroke pines are under the watchfull eye more than ever. Its probably his personal vehicle and he fitted stobes which arent that expensive. They are like $50-$120 each for a good hidden LED light
About five years ago...Someone tried to pull me over in the cleanest 300CE-24V. He was trying to cut me off and i would not let me in. He flashed me the badge and i lowered the window, flashed him the finger and laughed at him. I was in my C32. He literally tried to run me off the road. He may or may not have been a cop, but i wasnt going to stick around. My hunch was he was a agricultural inspector or something of that nature.
