How much WHP does this kit generally produce? If I chose to use a smaller pulley (168mm) would I need injectors changed also? If not then what is generally the WHP with everything offered but using the 168mm? Thanks

Low 500s. More with more cooling.

The website says 640ish crank so with drivetrain loss I'm guessing about 520ish at the wheel..

You should always go with injectors when upping the boost. And even with a 168 you should still see 500+ whp.

Then I am wondering why use the 180mm pulley?

Sterling: You say more cooling...I guess you are referring to meth or what else would you recommend to add for cooling?

Meth, trunk tank/ split cooling, killer chiller, the bad m'fers on the forum even mod the factory intercooler for better cooling/flow. But specifically a trunk tank and split cooling was what I was referring to.

The 180 is like the sweet spot in boost on the stock blower. Anything more is kind of overkill and will take an extreme amout of cooling. Anything under and heat doesn't kill your power as much.

A 168 w/ engine bay tank and CM90 pump would be nice.

I have the split cooling coming in the mail but honestly I can't understand how that makes such a big difference? That little tank will feed the SC cooler water and that will cool it enough...from that tiny separate tank?

How do you mod the factory intercooler?

The guys who have modded the intercooler will have to chime in.

Split cooling helps by not circulating the intercooler circuit with the engine coolant (210deg).

RBJ: From Chawkins2001...does anyone know anything about these guys? Seemed like a good guy and it was only $79 but it seemed so simple to just have the all the pieces sent and do it...just do it! It was convenience and hopefully it is all the right stuff...if not then $79...oh well! The first round would have cost that if I went out tonight!

That's a cheap round. HardRock prices at the Center Bar get a little ridiculous.

Well the little quart tank I have is better than stock, but we really need a 3 - 5 gallon tank (like many put in the trunk).

I am using a Ford Cobra reservoir, but similar size to a BMW power steering reservoir....Your setup is much better and I should have just done that initially.

I actually think folks should start with headers and cooling first, and then consider more boost.....

I agree.

But this is a S3 and a great price. You don't want to know what I paid.
