This thread is why I stopped buying (and constantly repairing) expensive wheels.
Just too hard to keep them in good shape with dd on a two and a half ton car.

Love my reps...disposable rims FTW

I have forgestars and two days after receiving them my brother hit some road debris and bent a wheel also. 19 inch with 35 sidewall for reference.

I'm not defending the company but the damage posted does not look to be the manufacturers fault. Could be that the tire pressure was too low or the pothole or curb impact was too much. The same damage will happen to fully forged wheels too.

Not a new issue with Forgestars. Seems like a lot of complaints about them recently with the same handful of forum members defending them.

From time to time yes but for a wheel to fail and crack in less then two hours of driving without hitting one pothole that something completely different. Why is that when I purchased some knock offs from onewheelplus.com they are still to this day as solid and straight as I first installed them? It's been over a year

My buddy tracks on his Forgestars on his E92 M3 and they seem to be holding up well

Tons of folks run Forgestars on their MBs without any issue. The OP clearly smashed a massive pothole in the streets of SF and is delusional in thinking the rim should not bend or crack....

Like 320 said, anyone that has ordered rims, knows you have to wait and anyone that has bought Forgestars knows they are reputable and fairly priced. That said, any rim can get destroyed if you abuse them...
Listen I own a car shop and have had plenty of wheels on plenty of cars that I have owned thought the years. I owned kenesis, hre's, vossens, forgiato's and many others but for some reason all of those never had any issues at all! So I will say it again, these wheels are crap as far as I'm concerned and I have never had any other wheel that I have owned fail on me as did the forgestars.

Listen my point clearly is these wheels are not strong enough to be put on such a heavy car as the manufacturer says. They might work great on other lighter cars and never fail but unfortunately I can stand behind what I say these wheels failed on me during regular driving. Some food for thought and this really happened to me, what would make a wheel crack after driving on it for two hours? The tire pressure was proper, the wheel had absolutely not one bend in it when removed and examined, and it balanced out perfectly? I guess the pothole that I didn't hit on my way home in San Francisco is the one to blame.

Sorry, but I don't understand -- how do the wheels crack or bend without hitting something?

I used Forgestar F14s on my W212 E63 2 years ago and it held up well. My friend currently using Forgestar CF5 on his C63 and got no problem with his (been a year or so). Used daily.

ASP, your first pic of the cracked rim in two places also shows that the rim has been flat spotted in the area close to both cracks, the car must have hit a speedbump at great speed. Also if your tires took all that weight to balance out you need to buy a brand name tire also. My Michelin super sports, the worst took 3/4 ounce, two took no weight at all.
I have two "new" Konig "UNknowns" with Toyo Proxes 4 tires collecting dust that were on my Tiburon that flatspotted after hitting a unmarked man hole cover that had the asphalt removed by the city, leaving 5 vertical inches exposed. City paid 1300.00 for their mistake. Hit this in a rain storm at 45mph at 5:30am, the car hit so hard that the radio shut off, both driver side tires and rims damaged but did not crack. This is the only fault that you have with your rims is that they cracked instead of just bending, the other two pics are just road damage, slow down and pay attention.

My money is on the bet that the fronts are taking most if not all the damage.
