So, you have something other than a 55 and CTS-V?

EVO X/Cobalt SS Turbo/Ford Focus ST- yeah none of these cars come in auto.

The S60 R might be your best choice. Another choice should be the C250 AWD.

I need to update my page. I sold the E55 earlier this year and daily drive the boogie down bare bone Chevy Cavalier lol. So CTS-V on the weekends and the Cavalier for the pothole infested city commute.

If you want newer, then look at used S60 R-Designs from 2012. It comes with 325hp/325tq, AWD, Automatic and bests the previous gen by 7 tenths in the quarter. I prefer the look of the '04-07, though.

As a side note, my first sport sedan was a '95 850 T-5R.

The general public treats you a little differently when driving one of those cars or the other, am I right?

The Raptor was a joke. I average 12.4mpg. I personally can't daily an appliance. While its the right smart financial decision whenever Ive tried I end up driving my toy all the time. I have to drive a truck for work, which is about the only not performance vehicle I enjoy driving, and luckily work pays for gas. Hello Raptor.

If you're trying to save money the best option is someone you can buy with cash. Even if its only 5-10-15k. Then don't get full insurance on it. You may look into a G35/37x. They're great cars to drive and also quite reliable.

Hotsoss, I don't know how you do it.

Boost, what do you daily? And how does someone with your talent, experience, and ability for modding mod everything? Your discipline is far greater than mine. Almost all my cars at least get a intake, cat-back, tune just for driveability. The G37s being the exception. The tunes net under 10hp, haven't found an aftermarket exhaust I like as much as the stock, and the intake nets less than 10hp. Not really worth it. Even headers don't yield much. Nissan really did a good job maxing out power.

Oh you better believe it! I get no respect out on the road. I mean everything from trucks to mom's in minivans try to take me out on the highway because they know the Chevy is slow lol. Absolultely no one wants to park next to my beater (I can't blame them), I get absolutely know looks from the opposite sex unless I'm sporting a tank top and making it obvious that I am interested lol. With that being said, I don't give a crap. I drive a ton of miles a year and would rather puts those miles on something like this rather than something I really value like my V or my old E55K. I also bought this car for commuting all over the Delaware Valley (NJ/PA/DE) to train clients for my side in-home personal training business. I can fit all of my equipment in the car, I get very good gas mileage, and I don't mind parking this car in tight spots or in sketchy areas when training clients. I also don't fret the minor ding on my bumper or other dings that come with driving high mileage. I also have used the Cavalier as a way to guage the girl's interest in me on first dates. This technique has helped me eliminate superficial, fake, and opportunistic women no matter how good they look! lol

Trust me it's tough, but the reward is a great car that I look forward to driving at the end of the week. I almost purposely make it a point to smoke everything I encounter for getting picked on during the week in lowly Chebby.

Sold - 05' E55
An Audi will definitly fit your requirements. An A4, A6, or S4, S6, auto, all wheel drive. If you get one a few years old and you'll find them at a decent price. Just make sure maintenance was done on it (timing belt if they have 80K or more on the clock). I find them to be pretty reliable as a dd. And a few minor mods and you'll actually get decent gas milage.
I've had them with and without warrenty - Just keep up on maintenance, and you'll spend less on it than the MB. (MB tax)

my daily beater is a GTI Mk4 1.8T modded out suspension, upgraded turbo parts, and exhaust upgrades previous owner did. Fun to drive and dont care if it gets dinged, bumped, scratched and is parked in the guest /street. Also have a set of snow tires/rims owner gave in the sale. I did consider a subby wrx or sti, but knew i would be dumping more $$ into it so passed.

I agree, but he said it must be SC/TB.

Gti/r32 is too small. I'm 6' 3" tall.

Not turboed or supercharged and definitely doesn't meet the mileage requirement. I see 12.5 in city and 15 on the highway.

Also, the seats sit a little high and I can imagine that someone 2" taller than me might have head clearance issues.

About it tell me, I get smiles when I drive CLS63 but M - F when I drive my 98 civic to work it's like the general public is mad at you for an unknown reason. Hmmm beats me !!!

Fair enough. What about the Volvo S80 T6 AWD ? I owned the non turbo version of this car and it was a great daily driver with an interior larger than the E55 with a huge trunk. A 2007-8 model could probably be had for 17k or less.

I picked up a Golf R for a daily and I love it. It's a manual though, although I think you can get it in a DCT if you swing that way. I won't judge.
