Figuring out my next DD
Since I refuse to DD the 55 (would like to keep it pristine and dont need/want to drive it during the winter months), its time to pick up a new daily driver.
Here are some of the requirements that I am looking for:
-All wheel drive
-Tubo/SC
-$35k or under
-Automatic transmission
-Decent gas mileage (over 20 mpg combined)
-2010 or newer
Would love to hear what you guys have for suggestions. A few ideas that I have in my head is a B8 S4, 2014 CLA 250 and 335xi.. Im thinking the CLA may be a bit small, but well see when they come out next month.
Thanks

The E60 535 X is a pretty nice ride and the prices are dropping very nicely right now.....most are cheaper than the 335.
Try to find the unicorn...the AWD sport with more aggressive body work, sport suspension, larger wheels and some nice interior touches.
Or by a basic and convert it to an M5 clone
The best part is that it is remarkably easy (and affordable) to get 400whp outta the N54. Solid 12sec car in the snow

Leaning towards the b8, just something about it. I do know the 335 does make good power with simple mods. Trading in a truck, don't need one anymore. Raptor is out. Don't need car seats anytime soon, only 24. Also I'm 6 foot 3, so don't think the a3 will cut it.

335i
I would say 335 but you already have that in mind. Other than that.. E60 and maybe F10 535s, X3 35i, X1. Other than the S4, there are the 08+ S5 Cabriolets with the S/C V6.
Can't think of anything of that criteria that is Japanese, but I think Buick makes something along those lines

Evo x? Anyone have experience with them? Really need to test drive some cars to narrow it down. Add leather tO that list as well.

Are your bifocals ok, Toad? I see mid-13s, not 12s.
But in regards to the mid-13s, I guess I have to watch out for those with my Jeep now.

Get an old WRX and put 28k in an investment account
With that being said and your desire for AWD, here are my choices:
1. WRX w/leather is available.
2. EVO X (not sure if it is availble with leather)
3. Cobalt SS Turbo (Not AWD but fast especially with a tune and get good gas milage. Also, leather is an option. Also, not 2010 or newer.
4. Ford Focus ST (Same as above except it is 2010 and newer)
5. Volvo S60
6. Fact: there aren't a ton of options that are AWD and forced induction unless you want a German. 328-35xi, A4/S4 Quattro

My advice- since IIRC you're a younger dude, don't get anything for a daily you actually are enthusiastic about. That way you wont be tempted to waste any mod money on it. I don't know your financial sitch but I personally like a DD to be a strictly A-B appliance and don't want to put a nickel into it that isn't necessary. This way your toy car has always got heels on ready for Saturday night, and is all the more interesting when you press go.

I like this idea. I would never want to daily drive something too nice and equally expensive to maintain out of warranty as an E55. Why not consider something less expensive that you don't mind taking a beating, low maintenance, reasonably reliable, and gets good gas mileage.

Talon was sold a while back. P.O.S.
Sir boost, I hear what your saying. If I were to get the b8, I would most likely end up modding it and we all know its a never ending itch once you start modding. M
My buddy had a s60 R and it was a decent ride which had decent power and got decent mileage. Problem is its getting old with the last year a 2007. Its not a bad option though for up here in NE, and is cheaper that the others I have been considering.
