insurance total loss and retail value
my 2007 e63 has been declared a total loss.
64,xxx miles and p2 package
insurance company is offering $30,695.00 + TT&L.
take the money and run or try and negotiate with them?

I always just straight up tell them give me what I am asking, within reason, for the car or by the time this is done you will have paid double that in medical payouts.

try edmunds true vale. its the closest the ins. will be to correct pricing. then search your area for the same car with the same mileage options etc. show them what ot costs to replace your car with a like model. thats the cost you need.
if it wasnt your fault sometimes its easier to file with your ins and let them chase the other guys ins. your out the deductable until your ins gets paid then you get it back

You're in a better position to argue about value when it's a third party claim( somebody hit you) You can still negotiate in this first party case, can you find a similar one for sale anywhere?

sorry to say,but since it was just your car involved and your insurance company paying for it they are not going to give you more than that.the only way to get more for the car is if you have a medical claim too and are willing to settle the medical claim at the same time.

If they claim that's this figure is the value of your car ask them where you can find one for that amount as a replacement. I would also check with your state's insurance commissioner's office.

Don't do any private party prices. Call all local MBZ dealers or 3rd party dealers and find a few with the same options as yours. Whatever they are asking retail then show them that. Retail price is always higher
