Angry Front Airmatic went out, had a few questions

Ok so the front left shock went out, its dropped to the ground and makes a leaking/squeaking sound.

1. Now is there a possibility the air hose could be loose or leaky?

2. If it is the shock, then when I replace it is it straight forward like a normal shock assembly. Few nuts on top, one bolt on the bottom and disconnect the air hose? No special tools needed?

3. I plan on buying the Arnott replacement, it seems like the best deal, unless someone knows somewhere better.

Thanks!

Install a complete set of Arnott air springs for less than the cost of a coil-over conversion and you will have all the advantages of the Airmatic system (with a lifetime warranty) and excellent handling qualities. If you want a road racer, get a Porsche. That said, the addition of toe-links, lowering about 1", balancing the car, KMACS and lightweight rotors make an enormous improvement in handling qualities. After a few turns in my backyard playground (The Nordschleife) I can assure you that you will be impressed.

I don't really want to do the coilovers I like having the airmatic

The other side was replaced from the prior owner so no need to do that one yet.

So I'm assuming swapping out the strut is straight forward.

Found the DIY and took out the shock in like25 mins. So far so good now just waiting for my new shock tomorrow.

But I found this sensor thing, wasn't connected to anything and I looked around and couldn't see where it would go. Anyone have ideas?

Ahhh I had a hunch it might be that. I guess I just zip tie it somewhere so it doesn't move around.

Yup cost me 350 bucks shipped. Plus I got a 50 dollar credit in a few weeks to use on advanced auto. So technically I spent 300 bucks. Great deal.
