CL/S- 55 Power
can the 209 e-55 be tuned to have the same power output as the cl-55? isnt it the same engine? sorry if this has been discussed before-

Are you referring to the E55 with the supercharger?
Don't let the paperwork fool you. MBZ rates the 2003 W211 E55 at 469HP and the 2003 SL55, 2003 S55 & 2003 CL55 at 493HP. Speculation says the E55 is actually 493hp just like the rest because all the cars make the same torgue - 516 ft-lb. E55 probably loses HP on paper due to some crazy Marketing scheme. The E55 is already the fastest of all 4 due to lighter weight.
For $2995 you can bump that HP to 494HP and torgue to 546 at Renntech.

Notice that all the models listed (S55, CL55, SL55, E55) have the same power curves and numbers/ratings.

hahaha I know this car has enough power as it is. I'm not complaining whether its 469 like they says or 493..Hell both numbers are crazy!~! but I was jus askin for the sake of knowing....

Mercedes did the similar "cover-up" with previous E55. The W210 E55 has always been published as 349HP while the 2001-2002 S55 and CL55 were listed as 354 and 355. Look at what my owners manual stated - 355HP SAE:

Haven't you seen the Brabus CLK K8 at the Frankfut show? They manage to put the SL 55 AMG engine in a CLK. With big modification in the engine bay and on the front of the car, you can put everything.
