Added Kleemann Headers & changed my tune to OE...

...and the results were pretty amazing.

I never knew something as simple as headers could make such a difference in our cars. 3rd feels like night and day as it pulls a *LOT* harder than it did before.

I got the headers put on through BenzWerks, which I have to say is a fine workshop. Great people, very professional and know their stuff. After getting the headers on, I ended up switching my tune from EC back to OETuning. For whatever reason, I couldn't get that stupid hiccup out of my car no matter how many times we tried to reflash it. It mitigated it a bit, but it was still there.

Anyways, after going back to OETuning, the hiccup in acceleration was finally cleared out. In the end, my E is reveling in it's newfound power as am I. Last step will be to get better cooling along with a bigger crank pulley, retune it, then call it a day. I really don't need more than 500 whp. I figure it would put me into low 11's/maybe 10.9 on a great, cold day.

I really think the 211 is one of if not the best AMG that Mercedes made overall.

This place is a joke.
Header's are a HUGE gain on these cars and I think it's one of the first mods anyone should do. It gives you upper RPM power like a 63 but still keeps that down low 55 torque, the best of both worlds!!

I, concur. If I knew this before instead of getting a S/C pulley I would've gotten Headers first and then anything else later.

I've only heard good things from people getting the headers.

Congrats! Headers should be the first engine mod on this car... Aside from a cm30 pump of course. I still do not see why so many people want to increase boost and add bigger pullies first, it ust creates more heat. Adding headers or at least removing the primary cat will substantially reduce your iats because of its free flow.

I had the same issue you are describing, it didn't bother me that much but

during my maintenance when I replaced the tranny mounts after that it was

gone. So try changing the tranny mounts.

Sometimes after the tune (hp gain) you just start feeling the brutal clutch

engagement which otherwise was low before

I did LT Headers first and I'm glad I started with them, but now the mod bug keeps going.
A bit of advise anyone doing headers (at any time) make sure you replace the motor mounts at the same time because once the headers are on the mounts are a pita to get to.

Headers will definitely be my next power mod. Looks like Kleemans will be my choice.

Look, I'm just saying it did go away when I changed the Eurocharged tune for the OE tune, so I don't know if it's something to do with the tune or with my car.

Congrats on your new found power. Those headers open up quite a bit of power that is robbed by the stock manifolds.

OE and Benzworks ftw!

Good stuff. Benzworks and OE are two groups who know what they're doing.

Can OE or anyone else with OE tune confirm this?
Thanks,
