Grrr..CPS replaced car won't start
So I had the typical symptoms of a bad CPS, car would die, cool off then start again. Eventually it died all together and today I Replaced CPS and car still won't start. It sounded like it did a quick fire then nothing so it just cranks away. Could I have burnt out a fuel pump from trying and trying to start the car? I have sent a few PMs to Shardul and he helped me out but now I am not sure what to do.

A faulty camshaft, or crankshaft position sensor can give the same no start issue. Have you scanned the vehicle yet?
There is a pressure port at the front of the right fuel rail to check fuel pressure.

Took it to an Indy and this was the first thing he did while I was cranking it, no fuel came out. So he said that is an indication fuel isn't getting to the engine. They are gonna diagnose it and hopefully hear something this morning.

CPS is a common thing that fails and leaves you stranded. Symptoms are the car dying and then after it cools off it will start again. It took about 40 mins to replace and put the car back together...
CPS DIY
autohausaz.com has it for $40

Try the fuel pump relay that is on the right side of the trunk above the SDAR box.... My car did the CPS shutdown. We did the CPS and the cam sensor, still had the random shutdown. It was the fuel pump relay

When I owned my CLS I had this SAME problem at 82k miles. I first replaced the CPS and I still had the same symptoms as you. Then I replaced the TPS still same problem ... came down to the fuel pump the main pump not the secondary pump. I know our cars and motors are different but seems everyone has the same issues here and there.
Needless to say I owned that car up until 166k miles and another 2 years and had NO problems once so ever and she ran strong the entire time after that.

Update:
ok, so the indy thought my fuel pump was bad and they ordered one but after doing some more research they found a wire that was causing a short to the relay. So they repaired that and I was happy i didnt have to get a new pump. I also had them replace the I/C Pump I had bought and was planning to install but i figured since they have the car i would let them do it.
So new CPS + fixed relay + I/C pump = this car has turned into a new monster. I can't believe how fast it feels so my guess is i was probably running with a weak I/C pump. I have already given my wife a warning that the car feels stronger and another odd thing is the hesitation it has at slow RPMs seems to have gone away or isn't as noticeable. not sure why it would do that but I am happy.
