the ported heads have nothing to do with it as others have the issue with out the ported heads, this is most probably an ecu issue and maybe needs to be logged via star to see why the ecu freaks out

I weigh 170 if anyone wants to see if I make your car go a tenth faster depending on your weight of course

FWIW, my car does this now with the new engine installed, and never did before. The throttle body and supercharger assembly are the same as before, the engine was changed out to a slightly larger one with ported heads. Now it has this annoying "hiccup" as you call it that is followed by a lean condition on the wideband. A restart brings things back into check.
It's a somewhat-common issue a lot of people get after modding; almost always after swapping out the throttle body for a bigger one. During light-throttle cruising and then entering an increased load situation, the car will hiccup or feel like a little misfire. Fuel trims start going really high and the car will just run weird at off/on throttle and at idle. As soon as the car is restarted, it goes back to normal like nothing even happened. Also, a P0106 MAP code is triggered. There have been several of us trying to get rid of it. We've checked for leaks, swapped throttle bodies, installed new O2 sensors, updated firmware at the dealer, tried multiple tunes from multiple tuners, yet nobody has yet to cure it. The worst thing about it is that the hiccup is exaggerated with the fixed pulley.

Are you in California? I'm 252lbs, with your weight combined with lighter front wheels & tires, lighter battery, Hoosiers are about 6lbbs lighter than MT's I could save almost 200lbs pounds and with a 1.53 60'.......

I'm in the same unfortunate boat - with similar mods to Sir-Boost-A-Lot i'm guessing, including ported heads and 82mm t/b. I can't say if the car was doing this before I had the ported heads installed, but I did blow an engine (sans ported heads) and suspect that a lean spike when in hiccup mode may well have been responsible.

one thing Dennis's genius *** figured out, for any of you having cold start problems unlock the car wait 10 secs, use keyless go button twice to get to "key 2" position (foot off of brake) wait 30 secs, start car... no crazy *** cold start.

I've explored with Weistec whether it is possible that the problem is tune-related. They've assured me that the ECU in these cars functions in a way which makes it impossible for the tune to operate as intended and then lean out without hardware failure/inconsistency being the cause.

no that's not it , most probably the ecu is switching to another map because it sees something that is not right, I think all tuners have pretty much the same maps that they modify through dyno tuning etc but they don't have all the maps like renntech for example, I highly doubt renntech has any customers with constant check engine lights and they carry and install the 82mm tb package

tuning on the road is the best thats how i did my tunes and then you just do a check on the dyno for good measure. Just glad my car doesnt have the typical lean below 4300rpm tune.

Nothing new to report yet :/. Someone else got a BIP tune and claims that their hiccup issue has been resolved. It's been about two months without a hiccup for him. Unfortunately for me, they don't want to tune for the fixed pulley.

If you are talking about me, there is no claim. It's true. No more hiccup and no p0106.

UPDATE: I got a new tune from Jerry this weekend. I did 20 miles on Friday night and 60 miles on my way in to work today. So far, no hiccup!!! I was driving like I was trying to trigger it, and it never happened. Hope I'm not jinxing it, but in the past, I've had it show up within 50 miles of uploading a tune. 60 miles back home later today and hopefully it will be good to go.
This is with the fixed pulley.
