Extreamly easy... positive negative, under the foot light just tap on those. Clips and connectors come with.. you just find ways to hide the wire and the cool thing is wires are all connected together
meaning one connection lights up front and back... it was very easy and a fun little project.

And the reflection on the door panel and seats in those pictures clearly shows a hint of purple/blue, only the oem are pure white.

The OEM W211 ones are blue, but in the photos below they kinda look white. I'll try to get better photos soon.

here is some more cleaner shots... and as far as OEM being blue? i dont know about that, i looked at some brand new benzes at dealer the other day they all had white door stills same as mine

WOW that looks like night and day, same exact white as the new AMG's you mentioned at the dealer, what a difference from the cellphone pictures, looks perfect too since your car is white, def a nice finishing touch to your interior 
T-bone meant that the w211 oem sills come with the blue light, same as the older 2005'ish G55 I remember seeing at the dealer years back.
