New pb at Gainesville raceway
So yesterday at private event I got a new pb. Car was extremely consistent. From the first to last run were all 11.60's at 120-121.
Break down of one run ( not fastest)
1.777 60ft
4.947 330
7.539 1/8 @ 94.3
9.777 1000ft
11.65 @120.44
I was running the clk rim with Hoosiers. Those tires rock, could dead hook with no problem. DA was +1198. It was raining in the morning and then cleared up and got the track dry. Temp was around 75. My IATs were starting around 90 after the burnout box. AF is low 11s high 10s. Ran probably 15 times.
Shooting for 10s next year! Think I will add a lower pulley, meth, split cooling, bWK.
I could tell sc belt slips at high rpm cause I was loosing boost. (New gates belt).
Overall happy with the results with my mods.

Congrats....I also had my pb last Saturday at Orlando Speedworld.
11.61@121.7 until the track got slippery later. Then I was 11.70's. We have almost the same mods too.
Keep in mind at these power levels, every 1mph increase or .1 sec takes a good amount of added power... A 50HP increase is less than 10% of what we have already !! Going ten's in Florida will take a lot more than a crank pulley and meth I think. Ask RBJ !! Keep in mind a bigger crank pulley in the summer may even slow you down.
The only thing left on my list is the limited slip diff. I've been looking at cams but unfortunately the power gains are not worth the $$.
I tried to log my IAT's but my torque app/phone kept dropping the connection. I was leaving the line around 100F, which sucks considering the outside temp was 65F. I've been toying with the idea of a killer chiller with a catch can inside the car for the A/C drains. Matter of fact, they asked me when I was staged if my A/C was on..they don't like water dripping on the track here. On the other hand they were letting all the street cars drive straight through the water box, and later at night I could see the water dragged all the way to the staging lights

E55GM, I agree it won't be easy. Those alone may not get me there. Since I trailer I would also be going all out and tAking the other seats out, dropping exhaust, making it as light as possible. I also don't want it to be slow in the summer which here is more like 8 months of the year. I am counting on meth for that. The KC sounds good I'm just not sure if it's better than meth down the quarter.

No upgraded HE or other cooling mods ? Seems like great times for those mods . what Hoosiers are those ? I couldnt hook for to save my life on my Mickeys on 17 inch rims.

No cooling mods. They are 255/50r16s. Running 25 lbs. didn't ever mess with pressure. Maybe could have gone higher better et and still hooked not sure.
Oh and I have a wide band to log af, and iPhone torque app and wifi obd adaptor. I found myself having to close and reopen the app after each run/ key cycle to get it to reconnect.

You need a trunk tank for sure if you live in fl. Meth won't do anything until you start your run, need the iats into the 40's which is easy with a trunk tank.

Congrats on your new pb!
Congrats on your pb also.
My goal was to run 10s in Florida before I went to MIR last year. I did this a week before at full weight and on Q16. it was 60 that night

I've had the crazy idea of running an electric powered freezer/fridge in the trunk under the floor where the spare tire would normally go, or at least using the parts with a small picnic cooler as my trunk tank with a 12V power inverter. I know it sounds crazy.Maybe its the cold medicine I'm on right now.

Too much load for anything that would create enough cold water. Get a Killer Chiller and dont look back Like having ice in your res all the time.

Congrats man! Wish I could've been there. After being in Jax for the Florida/Georgia game, I definitely wish I would have been there instead of at the game

Just gotta throw this in, Gators suck, go FSU!
To the OP, nice run, ran Gainesberger many times when I lived there!

Nice numbers! It's funny how many are in that time range. The last time I was at the track I ran an 11.61 at 122, 1250 DA. This was with 180mm CP, 93, MBH longtubes, EC HE, and box tune. Shooting for 10s, I've added E85 conversion, 84mm SCP, water injection, and split cooling.
My 'end of pull' temperatures went from 155F without to 95F with just the addition of the water injection... just something to consider.
Very interested in the CLK wheel setup. I assume it's been posted elsewhere but can you give me a rundown?

The clk setup is simple. '98 or '99 clk 320 cars came with these wheels and they are like13 lbs. to make fit our rears you will need to drill the lug holes to fit our lug bolts and buy 20 mm spacers. Lightest setup there is matched with 255/50r16 drag tires.

Excellent thanks! 255s though I'm used to 315/325/335s, lol
