mbh headers and bip retune numbers.

my buddy chris at cbtuning finished the car this am and i got tony on the line for a revised tune. We made one adjustment and the airfuel was perfect did street pulls and then ran over to my dyno to see if mbh headers make the hp they claim. first pull was no cool down just strap and go 86deg start air charge 102 at end of run. then i did a 20min cool down with a fan and temps were 63deg start 90deg at the end of run. 43hp 41 torque at 5700rpm power was up every where. even down low torque was up. on the 20min cool down 496hp to the wheels.

i will get some video clips soon of the sound i have to take it back to my buddies shope think driver side clamp on the pipe off header is rubbing something when i get on it. If anyone wants these headers call mike at mbh the process is easy mine were done in the time that he had said and they def will make the horsepower. I knew the manifolds were restricted but really couldnt imagine those types of gains. Over 40hp i gained and the torque was up everywhere.

When were your last dyno numbers done though? Clearly from your intake air temps it is cold which will make a big difference from a warm weather run. Obviously the headers are going to make a nice increase but there could be a little more than expected due to weather variation no?

yes friends with sloppymechanics we have done some crazy stuff and dyno days. my last dyno was oct of 2012 that was same thing drove the car to the dyno left key on to circulate the pump and the air charge was about the same warm to warm. My first pull yesturday air charge was at 86 deg starting thats hardly cool. That dynojet i have i used alot and you may see a few hp difference in summertime but as long as the aircharge isnt too high numbers will be within a few hp.

I thought the same thing after installing my headers, but found no evidence of anything rubbing or contacting the headers.

I think when you get on the gas, the noise is just additional resonance from the lack of restriction in the exhaust.
