New E55 owner, questions questions...

Hey guys. I got an 2004 E55 AMG. And I'm facing these issues at the moment.
1.Supercharger pulley makes weird noise. I hear bearings makes noise but my mechanic told me that it couldn't be replaced, his options are used supercharger 900$, or some stupid kit there these pulley included. (Apparently its not sold my itself) Which is BS, i just found a threat where a person explained it details how to replace that bearing... Link below

https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...g-install.html

2. Brake sign is on but brakes are still good to drive. He tells me there its 350$ to fix and 1000$ to replace. (Don't remember part name)
3. He told me that i need a "transmission tune up", oil charge etc - 200$

My question to you guys... What do you think about those prices. Are they reasonable? Is that mechanic trying to f**k me over?
Appreciate your opinions/replies, thanks in advance.

Congrats on your buy it's probably your supercharge bearing making noise and it's not 900$ more like 100$ you can do it your self and find it on eBay or the fourm classifieds . Transmission flush 200$ that's cheap make sure he's using the right oil and filter. As far as your brakes go it's probably just the sensor. If you have to swap out the s/c bearing also recommend a smaller pulley with a tune more power

You can go with any performance companey lots of them in here in the fourms do your research and go with the one you like or look in the classifieds some people sell them used. one of the first mods eveyone does with these cars usually. Also fourm member shardul sells them also. You will also need to get your car tuned with a smaller pulley. which companey you decide to go with that's up to you. I went with logic lab tunnig I'm happy with the results. Good luck

Since this guy is funny, i suspect that it could be just a sensor or something that makes a brake sign go on. What else could be the reason for this sign?

Brake sign goes on when your brake pads are low, maybe you have pads without sensors or you just need a swap.
I wonder what a "transmission tune-up" is lol.

technically mercedes doesnt sell the pulley seperate without clutch assembly from what i understand, but anyone that's worked on one of these cars should know that they can just replace the bearing.... the dealership wont do this repair but any decent independant shop should be able..

and i was the one that did that diy replacement in the other thread and it was super easy so if i were you i would find a new mechanic because that one doesnt seem too well versed in the E55
