Ride height (pics)
Took my car to the dealer for an alignment and was told that they had to adjust the ride height before doing the alignment. I purchased the car about a year and noticed it appeared to be lowered but I liked the look. Anyway after work was done I now notice that it sits a little higher than before. My question is does the height appear normal for an 07. Also I've heard that you can lower the car using star; which probably was done before I purchased it. I really want it lowered a bit without going the spring route. (Pic)

To me,
it looks very slightly lowered from stock. I started a thread here a few months ago when I was trying to get my height right. Measure it from the ground, thru the center of your wheel center cap, to the bottom of your fender lip. See what you get. I'll have to check (see if you can find the thread), but I think most of the sensibly lowered cars here measure about 26.5 " under those circumstances. Just a thought.

Sorry it took so long to respond but I had a very busy and long day. The ride seems to be a bit more comfortable than before. Thanks for all the replies and I'll think about it for a while. Thanks again

I just got alignment done again. Last time it was at the end of September.
This time I told them that the car is set according to ROW settings not North America. The sheet they gave me back shows
that the alignment was off and now everything is in green. The car is a bit lower, now in ROW, the car does indeed sits lower compared
to North America settings.

Thanks for the input. I guess my car was lowered with star and after the adjustment to do the alignment the height looked higher. Thanks again

They didn't fully explain why they needed to raise the car, did they? I assume the car was lowered a good bit? If so, they most likely couldn't get the alignment back in spec and therefore told you that. What they should have done is told you how far they could get it back towards spec in the current ride height and let you decide. The actually physical ride height has nothing to do with being able to make alignment changes in a car.

I have 20" rims on my car. Back looks lower than the front. Is that normal?
My car is bone stock.
I am running 245/35/20 front, 275/30/20 in the back!

Also, if you didn't know, those are the wrong size tires for 20s on these cars; ~1.1" too tall. The correct size with be 245/30 in the front and 285/25 in the rear.

Stock rear tire: 265/35_18 is 25.3" tall
Suggested front tire: 245/30_20 is 25.8" tall
Suggested rear tire: 285/25_20 is 25.6" tall
Your front tire: 245/35_20 is 26.8" tall
Your rear tire: 275/30_20 is 26.5" tall
Since your tires are taller, your odometer records mileage at a different rate and your speedometer reads too slow. When your speedo says you are traveling @ 60mph, you are actually doing 63mph.

Realistically,
the rear tires are OK. Fractional differnece there. But the fronts really are too tall. A 245/30 or even a 235/35 (depending on the brand) is the proper way to go....

What I'm saying...
is that although the numbers confirm a difference, many of us are running 275/30 on the rear with good results. Also, you certainly are aware that a 275/30 is not a 275/30 is not a 275/30. 285/25/20's are a disappearing breed, and those of us with vossens (and others with 10.5 rear wheels) find they stretch out nicely. We do agree that his fronts are a good bit out of the parameters.

Yes, I do agree that tires can vary slightly between manufacturers, but he certainly should not run a 275/30 in the back along with a 245/30 in the front. Got rake?

Yes,
I do have a little. That s the way I prefer it, as do many suspension tuners. Allows for compensation under acceleration and a loaded trunk. Obviously, you don't like it that way, and that's all good. Your car looks nice in your sig pic.
