Exclamation funky smell inside car

Ok so to start off, I have a feeling this is transmission fluid burning when i step on the gas a bit. And when i do its makes a terrible egg fart smell kind of thing. I feel like the car is losing power also. I searched the forum, and havnt really come up with anything.

I dont want to take it to the dealership, especially this time of year. but I dont want to let this go any more than it already has.

I hope that maybe a filter change and fluid change will fix? Anyone has this kind of problem before?

It's the cats. If you drive it easy a lot the cats build up with crap and when you open it up, the temp of the cats goes up. That burns off the contamination in the cats. It's kinda normal if you drive the car easy. Solution = use the power the amg gods gave us

I've had a transmission come apart on a truck I was driving, and it blasted fluid all up into the engine compartment. MAN did that smell horrible. It smelled more like burning plastic and hair though, not any eggy smell. I'll never forget how bad that smelled!

I also have noticed a strange smell that emanates from my E from time to time... It almost smells like a box of Crayons some times when idling after hard pulls... Any ideas?

How many miles on your car? If anything over 80-100k and your cats could be near the end. Sounds like a good excuse to upgrade to headers and new cats

Stockc43 you put my mind at ease a little. I just started getting the rotten egg smell (when going at it), but the catch is I rarely take it past 5-6k rpm. Hopefully like you said its just build up from driving slow. 62kmiles.
