News flash for you... You don't have to read my post either so quit crying about being told to kick rocks about your Cadillac discussion in a MB forum. Your cts v sounds awesome thanks for sharing.

Please tell us your mod list in detail, pricing, the vendors who produce the parts, who does your work and who tunes it? Can we get pictures and aspirational plans for it? How much did you pay for the car? If you could do it over again would you buy stock and mod it on your own or would you even buy a cts v again? Let's just go ahead and get it out of your system and keep it in a centralized relevant thread because as you mentioned it's totally appropriate and belongs in this thread.

No no, you are confused. I said don't read the thread if you don't want to hear about the car, not just an individual post. If you have no interest in hearing about a ctsv then why are you clicking on a thread titled with it?

A real winner you are.....

Nowadays you can go as fast as your wallet allows.
+1 You can find a 05 55K for $19K ! And if your wallet allow, you can put weistec SC (3.0L) for $8500 still around $30K total. CTS-V are still in $45K range.

LOL at some of these posts. The Vs are awesome cars. Mod for mod dont really seem to be all that much faster than an older E55. A little but not a lot. If we had good cam/tuning choices we would be more or less equal. I still want one maybe later this year but will keep my E55.

FYI 2009-2010 Vs with LOW miles can be had all day long for 28-34K. Prices have dropped a lot on them now.

The cheapest is still around $36K 50K miles. No way you can find 28K. We are talking about the V not the ordinary CTS.

Now I'm a loser for expressing my differing opinion on a public forum? You're not trolling at all buddy.

I'm really interested in hearing more about the car now though, any chance you can answer my ?'s ? Ditto above I've not seen anything below $35k which still is not a bad bang for the buck.

Yes I am well aware. 09+ blown CTSV ..... Couple years from now they will be under $20K just like the E55. Just check prices on 2009-2010 our cars. Just checked again, DEALERs are selling them for as little as 32K with 50K miles. Saw one with 17K miles for 35K. Saw one a week ago for 29K 50K miles.

Those prices are not quite accurate...at least not for a fully loaded/Recaro optioned CTS-V. And no self respecting true car enthusiast would own one without the Recaro option! I would know since I spent several months looking until I picked up another E55 last month.

+ 1

Let's hear it urba. So we don't have to in another thread. You've already ruined enough threads on here yelping away about your CTSV.

LOL, not accurate ? Lots of them priced in that range well equipped. FYI a lot of people complain about those Recaro seats from what I have read. So yes they can be had for basically 30K now. 6 months from now they will be pretty easy to find in the upper 20s.

Like this?

David ran this RennTech E63 biturbo that was putting down 680hp to the wheels. I was in the passenger seat of the CTS-V. The V also had a dead IC pump at the time and still was slowly walking him on the first run. the second run with no cool down, they were pretty much side by side. Third run again no cool down just a U-turn the 63 was slowly walking the V

This is also the same E63 that killed my 10sec E55. Just saying

I'm not picking sides either. I love my 55! But there are quite a few Vs in SoFlo that I won't fucc with. Again just saying.

YES, NOT ACCURATE. There wasn't a single low mileage CTS-V in the $28-34k range that you brought up that was loaded with Recaros. I don't care if your fat friends complain about the Recaros, if I wanted a cheap low grade leather lounge chair I'll go to the costco furniture store by my office...

You are being silly and hard to take seriously .... Yet you bought a second E55 with Recaros ? Oh wait There was a mess of them in that price range low miles. Just because you find them so important doesnt mean everyone else does. Like saying you cant get a E55 AMG for $20K if you cant find one with keyless go or something.... Your argument doesnt even make sense. Hoping you are joking

FYI I am pretty sure I heard members in here saying they didnt like those seats for daily driver. Many would say "any self respecting true car enthusiast" wouldnt be buying a Cadillac or a four door Mercedes. Its not likee these are sports cars. Yes they go fast and handle fairly well. Fast is why most of us buy them not for carving canyons.

Or if you want to really go fast you can buy a used new style 5.0 mustang. Put a $8000 dollar twin turbo kit on with a set of $450 drag radials and run mid 9's at 150+ for less than $30k for everything

Those $21k to $30K are ordinary CTS or Salvage. No way 2010 V at this price.

There needs to be a rule stating that you can not talk about a race without a video of the said race including an interview of both owners giving descriptions of both cars modifications. Races should include 2 races from a dig lets say a race of a 1/4 mile and 2 races from a roll (to negate driver error) from 40-130 if safe. Gavel Down!

Well said plus from what I understand you only put on DRs and went in the 10s
So just proves that there is no need to gut the car

Who said anything about 21K ? I said $29K-33K there are lots of choices. Pretty clear to see if you look at those links I posted. If I was in market right now I would have one within a week for 30-32K. Not hard to do. All those prices are asking prices too.
