remove secondary cats and install the resonator back on to my W211 E63?
i want to pull a little more power out of my E63 without spending much (who doesn't, right?) i know that removing the secondary cats on either the E63 or E55 will yield more power, but on the E63, i have only seen people do it with the removal of their resonators as well, and i really am not a fan of the way they sound with both resonator and secondary cats deleted. my resonator currently removed gives a perfect sound
my question is this: i still have my resonator in my garage, should i have this shop reinstall it and remove the secondary cats, or would it impact performance if i put the resonator back in? i know deleting the resonator doesn't give any gains, but removing the secondary cats does. i just don't want it to be excessively loud. also, is there any chance of my CEL coming on or anything else i should be worried about when removing secondary cats like the smell of gas all the time or anything? i would have EC reflash my ECU if i did remove the secondary cats. thanks in advance.
I that true?

Was speaking to an exhaust place today and he advised the same removing the secondarys and replacing them with an x pipe.
I heard that just deleting secondary cats adding X pipe in place and leaving resonator is the best way to go. From what I was told the resonator doesn't rob any power and it is an X type inside. I personally don't want a very loud car, just a little more rumble. Also heard 2nd cat delete will still pass smog test but not a visual if they look under.
