I need another '04 E55 with options!!!! Please help!
As much as I love the car, I need to get one with some options. Mine only has a CD changer...that's it. I was lucky to only wait around a month, but now I am not happy. I have already placed an order for one with the equipment I want, but my dealer says 4-6 months. If anyone hears of an new '04 that is available, please let me know. Silver/Charcoal, keyless go, bi-xenon, Nav, rear shade etc. Basically everything except pano and distronic would be a dream come true. I am still pissed at MB for not keeping the AMG cars loaded like the W210 E55 I had was. Thanks folks!

Hope you can find a car and not have to wait 6 months. It is probably a pain driving such an expensive "new" performance car and it not have the options you really desired. A $80k car without HID should be against the law! You got to see clearly at night when driving 100+ MPH.

You hit the nail on the head....$80k cars without HID shouldn't exist. Especially when the cost to MB is probably under $200 for HID. All of these after market kits go for around $400 retail which inlcude Philips ballast and bulbs. Imagine what MB's true cost to add is.....

1st week of December ours is coming in. 6 disc, Keyless Go, Navigation, Xenon. Don't think I'd want to give it up so quickly though. For once I was thinking up front and told the wife we better order just what we think we'll want if we're spending this much money.

Give my man Steve Sorkin a call. Star Mercedes in Houston. 713-868-6800. He got me one in 3 weeks. I did not even have a deposit on one! When I bought mine 3 weeks ago, there was the exact car you were looking for on the same truck, unclaimed. It had the charcoal/blue insert seats though. Oh, BTW they never sell over MSRP

Oh, forgot the hands free V60. Had to have that after enjoying it so much in my C32. I'll post my impressions relative to the C32 we're trading in after driving a while. We'll probably miss the pudgy steering wheel and tight turning response of the C32, but we'll gain in other areas. -anxious in New York

Yeah, black is one of those things like a sunburn. You do it again cause you forgot how painful the last experience was. I ALMOST went for the metallic black and then came to my senses and when for brilliant silver. Black looks fantastic, but the upkeep involved to keep it looking great isn't for everyone.

My 996TT is black...it looks amazing, but I will never do black again....I said that at least 5 times already!!! Great analogy to the sunburn Eddy C!

I had a black 930 Turbo. 86, modified to 500 hp. THAT car was a beast. But not a winter car and my wife was scared to drive it. Also, clutch went on it and it was in the shop a month while my mechanic was searching high and low for parts and getting them machined to fit and everything. I sold it and decided from then on to go for fast, but stock.
