46K miles on car, SC oil change time? Anything else at this mileage?

I've read on the forum that people are using just Mobil 1? Is this the MBZ recommended oil? What weight/viscosity?

What else needs to be changed with a SC oil change? Anything in particular?

I am closing in on 47K miles and was wondering if I should go ahead and swap anything else on the car while it is being worked on.

So far, 4 new tires, Aux battery, spark plugs, air filters I have in my trunk.

Anything else I should do now at this mileage? Fuel filter?

Thanks.. I did the full trans service around 42K miles, so I'm good on that one.

Anything else you guys can think of around this mileage?

When are guys doing the fuel filter? I understand the entire unit has to be replaced and the part/labor can be $$ so I want to know if this is necessary at this mileage or I can wait until the following service, which will probably be in the mid-high 50K miles.

do your diff oil and your power steering oil too....plus the reservoir. I did every single fluid on the car so just suggesting something that is fairly cheap to do and good in the long run

I'm assuming you're referring to the SC oil change?

Yup I had the charger off when I did the 82mm TB so it was sooooo easy to change the fluid

What type of a difference did you notice? I've heard every opinion across the board on this one and there doesn't seem to be a consensus...

My indy mechanic says its not necessary, but I see the photos of the old dark black oil coming out of the unit and can't help but wonder if things would run smoother up there with fresh oil.

This is an expensive maintenance item because you have to replace the fuel pump/sender at the same time (they are built as one unit). However, you shouldn't need to change it out til approx 80k miles. Don't forget about it though...it can really choke up the fuel system. I had mine replaced at 95k and it made quite a big difference, especially after I cleaned the fuel rail which was full of contaminants that got through the dirty filter.
