I bought an rpm window switch, i need to get an rpm signal, instructions said to hook to negative side of ignition coil, i attached it to coil nb1 from ecu but did not get a clean signal then i attached it to crank position signal from ecu but i did not get a signal(my AEM failsafe is attached to this crank position wire with good signal) any thoughts?

You have to get it from the ECU
There is a pin out posted some where

yes i attached to it, it is the nb 47 on C3 harness and the CPS is nb 2 /C3
but both didn't work, is it the ground wire?? anyone please can get me the diagram of coil wiring, need to know if this 47 wire is the ground of the coil.

ok that's good thanks, i'll try the nb 2/C1 it seems it is the ground not the 47/C3.

I see that you were looking for that tack signal. I'm doing a wet set up on 2008 cls63. I'm trying to find where to get a tach signal for my window switch as well. If you can let me know where I can get it from in the simplest way possible, that would really help. Thanks.

Found good signal from solid red wire at last coil on the passenger side. Used MSD gmb pickup. Super easy. St gauge to one cylinder or 1ppr
