I bought some H7 replacement bulbs a couple of weeks ago and wanted to share my opinion.
This is the model I bought http://www.lifetimeledlights.com/H7-...hts-_p_64.html. No issues ordering from these guys.

Here are some comparison pics next to my e320 CDI with Philips Diamond Vision Halogens.
Halogen on the left. LED on the right
The LEDs are much brighter and whiter. As you can see, the LEDs are overpowering my iPhone camera. Also the reflection in the floor shows the LEDs to be brighter as well. The color of the LED headlights are a perfect white. No blue. No yellow.
Diamond Vision Halogen with AZN optics 5000k city light (which are too blue for my taste)

LED headlight with Superbright LEDs natural white city lights

Halogen cutoff

LED cutoff (I had the car raised up in this shot). Cutoff is pretty poor.

Halogen throw. Look how the driveway is illuminated across the street.

LED throw. Not as good, the driveway is dark, but I think it can be improved with a new projector lense. Worth it? Probably not.

The LEDs throw more light in the immediate area in front of the car, but not far enough down the road in my opinion. Road signs are illuminated way better with the LEDs for some reason.
I can't really recommend these because of the reduced throw. It's too bad because the color is excellent. I'm not sure I want to start baking headlights just to change the projector either.
Hope this info is helpful to somebody.

Thanks for the review. Looks like the light dispersion is more focused with the halogens, and more dispersed with the LEDs. the driveway appears dark in the picture, but the house and the grass in the background is much brighter with the LEDs. This would explain why street signs appear brighter with the LEDs.
Does the throw seem much shorter when you're driving?
Are you gonna end up keeping them, or are they not worth it?

That's a good way to put it.
I'll probably keep them and end up getting new lenses.

Have you tried to adjust the lights up some to see if that will help the trough?

the LED pic of the house across the street - you can see the whole house, plus there's a second story
in the halogen pic the corners are missing and I couldn't tell it was a 2 story house (the 2nd floor is gone!)

Interesting observation Toad

Too bad they did not put a forward facing led in. The LEDs do seem to be a more scattered light than the halogen.
Thanks for posting up your findings and pics.

I thought about doing this but I ended up using a 50 watt LED kit in my fog lights and switched my lowbeams out for 5k xenon bulbs and they are nearly identical in color. The out put in the fogs is good and the nice thing about the LED is there is no warm up time like the HID lights need.
Looks like I'm all in on these. Just ordered facelift headlights and TRS projector lenses.
Also, here's a sneak peek on my take for a homemade DRL.

Nope. It became one of those projects that I never finished.
