the SLK forum is dead slow... anyone here know about these cars?

my initial thoughts:

cheapo tires
brakes need servicing
NAV disk missing

price is a bit high for the mileage...

thoughts?

Well then.

Brake rotors are $$$ like the E63.

I have not seen too many problems with the 171 chassis. Interior can be a bit noisey (rattles and exhaust note), lots of plastic inside too. Not sure about accident safety with regards to such a small car.

Drives like a go cart.

Nothing really terrible to say about them.

 

ok cool, I think my wife would enjoy this upgrade from the Miata

 

I know the nose is ugly

 

they have the 7speed auto with the 5.4 motor whereas the C55 came with the 5 Speed
I personally think the SLK32 is a better car.

One of these smoked my buddies C5 vette (non z06). Gotta give these little suckers credit. 'Brake Wear' cmon at least edit/review the photos before they go online!!!!

 

In stock form faster than a c55 or clk55 due to light wgt.

 

Just smoked one badly an hour ago - some poor dude was trying to impress his mate by flying past me, unfortunately for him I was feeling rather frisky myself.
Poor guy had to turn off at the next intersection to avoid another thrashing.
Your wife will love it.

 

$28K is kinda high.... why not get CLK63 ?!

 

get her a c63 if price range is ok. you get to play with it too !!!

 

You may be able to negotiate the price a bit. Here is one for sale with 27000 miles so you can compere it. A bit more but negotiable I think.

If he gets her a CLK63 then what is she going to drive? I think I should get my wife a CLK63 too because I have wanted one since they first came out.
