Anybody know this car at all? Seems super clean, tastefully modded. Forum member? Any insight/advice.
Would love a pair of eyes down there if the conversation gets serious. Georgia car.

It looks like the car is in the Bronx? See if the light is still on, and if it is ask them to scan it and see what comes up?
If the light is off take it for a ride and see if the light comes back on?
Good Luck -
And I think their may be another one for sale that's located in Queens - It's a member and it's in the classifieds?

Yea, it's in the Bronx.
I'll ask -- I'm afraid they'll give me some excuse about not being able to clear it. My uncle works for MB of White Plains for 20+ years. I'm trying to see if he can meet me there.

Nice to have a tech in the family - I have a friend that's a tech at the White Plains dealership.
You'll be in good hands if you have your uncle check out a car for you prior to a purchase.
And don't be afraid to keep looking.
I saw a crappy ones before finding the one I actually purchased.

I know :/ The car looks like it went Cali, to Jersey, and now at this dealer in the Bronx.
My gf lives in the area, and the road conditions there ABSOLUTELY *******g suck.
There's another one I'm going to see tomorrow in NJ, a one owner car with 50K miles...but it doesn't have DYNAMIC seats :/

Hyevon Motors is now BenzWorks. That car belonged to someone in Southern California. I dont remember who had yellow calipers.. but thats an authentic E63 bumper (reflectors on the side). If it is who I think it is, that motor is newer than the odometer shows...

The engine has some kind of modification, can't tell what. There is an aluminum tank at the passenger side front of the engine bay, next to the SBC unit, that definitely ain't there from the factory. Perhaps some kind of cooling mod?
Dynamic seats are stupid and annoying. Google up how the bladders randomly inflate. You have to adjust them almost every time you get in the car. Never seen a fix identified for this - it's just how they are. The car is better without them.

I still like the one in silver much better. The car might have some modifications but if your uncle can fix your car then should be good. Plus, the car was in California so should not have rust. The 63 conversion with OEM bumper is not cheap.... bumper alone $1K + installation and paint.
The repair might be less than you think.

On your original silver car, the V8 Kompressor lettering on the front fenders looks out of place...I bet that car was in an accident that doesn't show up on carfax.

Eh, I'm not a fan of the "eyebrow" film, or those particular rims blacked out. Otherwise, it'll be a good starting platform... I think? :p

Seriously, whatever you buy, I recommend some kind of warranty.
Mine has paid out almost $20k in one year.
-Transmission & torque converter
-fuel tank
-alternator
-door lock
-motor & trans mounts

Take a cashiers check for 22500. If the car is that good why is he not trading it in on the new Benz. Because they will only give him 19500, probably.
Give it a good looking over, lift the hood then get him to start it, you listen to the engine, if you have a friend with you have him stand out behind the car and check the exhaust when it is started. Let him drive you for the test drive first, this will give you and idea of how the car is driven, then you drive for the feel of the car. If still interested, tell him your offer, pull the bank note out and seal the deal.
Good Luck, do not feel obligated, If you feel safe carrying cash then drop down a little on the offer, like 21cash and go from there. When people see the money waving in front of them, better to deal with the father and mother, she is the one that wants the new car. The son will be praising the car
. Final thought it looks like the dash has been reset 10.9mpg, sport mode, there has been some fun recently.

Hey all, new POTENTIAL CAR.
http://www.passportnissanva.com/used...fb95b250f0.htm
It's a 5 owner car :/ Check the CarFax.
Looks like the SBC unit is replaced. There's an MB dealer literally right next to them, so I've already go the PPI scheduled for when I go down this Saturday morning ($266.00)
Thoughts and/or initial impressions?
The car has mismatched tires. Continental on the front left. Hankooks in the back. Pirelli on the front right. Rear pano isn't functioning. Keyless issues with driver's side door. And that's without even having gone through the PPI yet.
I'm in CT, and with fall approaching, should I hold out until then? Maybe get a better deal on a big, powerful RWD car in the next few months? The STI isn't going anywhere, so the Benz will sit and be a 'winter' project anyways.

Yes Mkiv tdi, that is a nice looking Benz, always fall for the Black for some reason.
Anyways with 5 owners, it would be nice to see the carfax, any auctions on the list or a couple of dealer changes like on a Ford lot then Chev for example.
The only issue off the top is the fact you say there is a Merc dealer close by was it at their dealership prior?
Looks nice but after detailing they all look good, by the way a rep came on when I was looking at the car, Jackie Weaver, mmmm, now that would be a nice test ride co pilot.
And request the same new front tires on the car thrown in with the deal chances are they may be the same size but the diameter could be off, ask when the PPi is done to check backs to if they are ratty. Do not be meek, they are car salesmen/women not your best friend.
Good Luck and deal well.

Critter, you've seen the car?
No, it didn't belong to the dealer next door. The salesman did, however, tell me that the E was traded in on a GTR.
Edit: My uncle has been working for MB for countless years, so ive got access to his knowledge, STAR for resetting/checking things, etc.
I've been under cars my whole life. Gas to diesel conversions, engine swaps, etc etc. So I'm not afraid of wrenching myself. If anything I'm hoping PPI says i could use motor/tranny mounts, and other relatively inexpensive items so that i could use that towards negotiations, and do the work myself. I just hope the car is solid overall... the remainder i can take care of.
I was just asking for input as far as any glaringly obviously red flags might have come up.
Worst case scenario, I've got a K55 complete engine with 40K miles on it sitting in my basement.
