Weistec M156 Supercharger

I'm looking at purchasing and driving my car down south to have Weistec install. Any tips, recommendations or feedback that you all can provide would be great.

Currently, my 07 E63 has been maintained religiously and is 100% stock with 47k miles.

Um, why not just buy an E55, it could be cheaper.

Selling my car then looking for a used E55 is not an option. Personally, if I'm going to go that route I'm just going to get a totally different car all together (used GT-R).

Will be a nice build. In keeping your car 100% pristine, then you may want to stay with a conservative boost package.

Oh sorry, you missed my point. keep your E63. The cost of the Weistec kit and install is about the same as what one would would pay for a E55 these days. 2 cars.
FWIW the GTR is the way to go, short of anything M157 AMG.

Thanks but I'm not in the market of owning 2 W211's. I see your point though. It's either I upgrade what I currently have or leave stock and sell for a different car.

No, I think it's a great idea, the M156 is more refined and feels tighter. Post videos when you you're done. I've yet to see a Weistec E63 W211, nothing on YouTube or the forums.

I am looking at the same package for my 07 E63 with 61k miles. I put headers, the Carbonio intake box and EC sw about a month ago and love the results. What are you planning to do with your transmission?

Cool! Interestingly, they'd rather have your vehicle bone stock prior to installing the supercharger package. However, it'll probably be ok after the tuning process. As for my tranny, I was planning on leaving as-is because I am planning on stage 1 only.

The 2.3L SC $13K and 3.0L $16K ..... with installation this will cost at least $18K to $20K and a mod CTS-V will still destroy it. Plus, that tranny won't last long.

Here is C63 with 3.0L SC vs CTS-V

Here is a recent build we finished for Big Bend Open Road Race. We represented Mercedes AMG in a good way for this race with a Weistec powered W211 E63! This car won Grand Sport Division class.

We have many more W211 E63's out there but this is definitely one that stands out.

Good point! I'm not a racer. I had my car for 4 years and didn't plan on modifying when I bought it but for some reason lately I've been looking at the options of upgrading the E63 performance or selling the car and buying a GT-R. From a cost perspective, upgrading the E63 would be the lower of the two options. I've received quotes from two different tubing houses for the Weistec installed and tuned (range $15.6k - $15.9k). I am concerned bout the tranny but then again Weistec can upgrade the tranny, valve body and torque converter if needed but as you know that ain't cheap either. At this point I am favoring leaving the car as-is.

I am planning a stage 3, hence the question on the tranny. The install will be done at my shop in NC. The blower install is not a big deal at all, but i have to figure out how to deal with the tranny. I am just waiting for a sale from Weistec to pull the trigger.

Our Stage 2 system is a very powerful system that is capable of running 10 second quarter mile times. The system is very proven and we have hundreds of customers running the 2.3L compressor unit with the stock transmission. If you want to add some insurance to all of it, we would recommend the valvebody/TCU upgrade, and this would assure OEM like longevity out of your engine and transmission. Please let us know how we can assist.

I have a new C63 Coupe and it is a fast car, but it is not the monster my E55 is.

Got a couple of questions about the 6.2L system.

I looked, but have not dug in to deep, but it seems to have one throttle valve and all the pictures I see of the Weistec system shows two throttle valves. Does my 13 C63 have two??

Next, it looks like you changed the drive system. I remember seeing pictures of an offset belt drive with a jack shaft arraignment, but lately it looks like you have revised the belt drive. Is that the case? Does the engine cover fit now?

Correct. All M156 equipped cars have twin 74mm throttle bodies.

In regards to the drive system, all of our supercharger systems from Stage 1-3 are direct drive. Stage 1 and 2 systems run the 6-rib belt with the option of going full 8-rib and the Stage 3 comes standard with the complete 8-rib drive. Check out our website for detailed pictures as well as our support section to check out all of our installation manuals. That will paint a better picture of all the parts included. Thanks Gadget! Great to see you in a C63!

I ready through the install guide for the supercharger system.

Are the throttle valves inside of that manifold/plenum assembly??

If so would happen to have a picture of the inside once you pull off that lid?

I told myself that I would not mod the new car, but it is to late now. I already upgraded the floor mats so the rest is just a matter of time.

Once you go Weistec, it is hard to go back....

Thanks for the picture!!!

I never would of guessed that is how they did it. I see how the variable runner length system works also.

Both are stock. They are bolted together to form a complete unit. The throttle valves are inside of the assembly.
