Two Torque Monsters...E55/Viper
Some of the Viper guys close to SRT heard it ran in the 10.7's for the 8spd with stock tire. Impressive! I question, as most do, if you will be able to tune it for pulley/headers.

If it did run a 10.7 on stock tires the MPH must be close to 133.

Seems like a low trap for 707hp, right?

I mean seriously though, you cant be THAT impressed with a high 10 second 700+ hp vehicle.... Its just not that impressive. After all, your high 9 second turbo "street" truck probably makes near that and its a second faster. Now tell me how impressive this new hell cat is...

Well my turbo truck weighs almost 800 lbs less (3400 lbs). Different type of vehicles. While it is a "street truck" the suspension is not as smooth, the SRT bucket seats are probably not as nice as in the Challenger now, stereo is much nicer, Im sure the AC system is much better than the stock 94 Dakota, my manual windows are not as nice as power windows, It will handle much better than the Dakota, and on and on. The only things "better" about my Dakota is that is is much faster in the quarter mile.

What do you think of a 550 hp CTS-V that "only" runs high 11's/low 12's? Or a 1,001 hp Vyron that "only" runs low 10's?

I think you just made my entire point right there.... 150 less HP on the CTS-V (and granted a second slower)..... And a viper over 1K thats only putting down low 10's...

Junk? What exactly makes it junk to you?

A factory 700+hp car that will click off a 10 or 11 from the factory for under $100k? I think that's a pretty badass bang for the buck. I've got a blown SRT Jeep that runs 11's here in Colorado and would LOVE to own this beast. Throw a little more boost, fuel and a tune at it and you're easily 800hp all day. Not many cars you can say that about for the same kind of money!

I guess Im just not very impressed with a 4200+ pound "muscle" car with 700hp that runs high 10's on a DR. High 10's just isnt that fast anymore (unfortunately)

Bull****! Name another car with 700hp (stock) that will run those numbers on any tire for that kind of money!

Even if it's not your cup of tea that doesn't make it junk!

Yeah, your 100% correct! Im sorry Im out of place. After all, heads/cam 4th gen f body's on DR's were running in the mid to low 11's with 200 less HP. This was nearly 10 years ago.

Im sorry if Im not overly impressed with this "god like beast" of a car in some people's eyes.

Ya, low 11's at 3400 lbs, loud as heck, big bumpy cams, .... Yawn....

Why don't you mention the guys that have the V-8 added 1978 Honda Civic that runs 10.50? Now that's impressive to ya right?

And can you explain how I "made your point"?

If you knew anything about racing, a "second slower" is an *** kicking.

You have zero clue. A full second is an *** kicking.. But it doesnt take 200 HP to gain a full second going from 11's to 10's dude.... We arent talking 7 second cars here...

I know more then my fair share about racing... Ive been around PLENTY of low 5 second 1/8th mile cars on 10.5's... But once again, you wouldnt understand that.

Actually not impressive at all. Like I stated 100 times. I guess someone's "fast" is all relative.

Oh ya, you are one of those that "used to have".... There are plenty that know me when I had mid 5 second Challenger, but I digress since I don't want to be one of those "used to" guys...

By the way, 707-556 = 151 not 200.

And, I don't see anyone here touting the Challenger as "the greatest car ever", just not "junk" as you say.

BTW, why are you on this forum? Shouldn't you be on the STS or Malibu site? Or, are there none?
