Talking NC to AZ road trip
Just finished the 2000 mile trip from Troutman, NC to Sierra Vista, AZ and am in more love with my E55 than I was before I left! Cruzing on I-10 in west Texas at 90 was amazing!!! The car felt like it was at home, running smooth as silk. Never before has a car made me feel so comfortable at such high speeds.

I work in Sierra Vista. Isn't it beautiful? Drive up to AZ wine country in Sonoita. About 30 minutes away and it is absolutely gorgeous.

I'll have to check that out! Any advice on where to get a good service around here? Should I just run up to the Merc dealer in Tucson? I'm on post and am limited to only using the car care center here because I didn't bring any tools with me.

I need to get my airmatic pump looked at. The car isn't slammed down on the wheels, but I'm getting the white screen that says to take to service, and I haven't heard my pump run lately before I get into the car

Oh and yeah, the landscape is GORGEOUS!!! I spent last weekend in Bisbee and Tombstone seeing the sights...pretty cool!

Yup. There's one or two indy shops and a dealer in Tucson. I've got a garage and a decent tool collection if you need to do some non-messy work and I know a certain someone with STAR ;D

Will do! What about going this Saturday? I'm getting the oil changed at the dealer at 8 AM, but don't really have anything else going on that day. If you guys want to meet up that would be awesome!

Where do you work? I'm driving the Benz in to work tomorrow. I normally take my beater Camry because it's a 120 mile round trip for me.

It's 60 miles from my driveway to the parking lot at work, and I live way down on the SouthEast side.

Let's talk BBQ. Your place or mine? I have a few steaks and just spent $60 on some delicious German brews.
