what would cause one side of the rear to be lower than the other?

my son swears the driver side is about an inch lower than the passenger side in the rear, I'm starting to think the same thing - what's the best point to measure from - the center of the wheel hub? or from the ground?

what the heck would cause this?

How much lower is it? Are you sure the car is on a leveled area? Best way to measure is from the fender all the way to the ground... just make sure the measuring tape is straight.

measure from the fender through the center of the wheel to the ground... you can see if tire is sitting low or its the shock.

I do believe it is somewhat common though for the rear to be off a bit. There is only 1 sensor on the airmatic in the back

+1 most airmatic 211s I see are always slightly lower on the drivers side, including mine. However a full inch seems like too much to me.

mine was like that... i did raise and low kind of method i found online somewhere and it leveled fine. find a flat nice surface ( i did mine in a nice flat parking lot at the beach on some high end condos so it was flat) drive full car length raise it while leaving the door open (dont ask me why, i read it somewhere) do it like 5 times in a row up and down up and down. Supposedly it re levels the car from doing all the roll and stops raises and drops

also as Berti mentioned, raise the car, drive around a bit, then drop it like its hot. That may even the ol' girl out
