Some temporary wheels...
So I needed a set of temporary wheels while the HRE's are getting another make over. I found these and I must tell you that its been a while since I've had a set of wheels that really made up for all the hell we go through modding.
These are affordable, STUPID light, and look more aggressive than anything I've ever played with. The fronts weigh in at about 24lbs and rears are just under 29lbs. Not bad for some 20's and I'm back to spinning tires in 3rd gear.
Also, they are for sale, super E fit at 32mm front and 42mm rear. I'm running spacers in the pics, 5mm front and 12mm rear.

The HRE's are light too, about the same. I was just amazed that a Chinese replica cast wheel would be as light. I've been obsessed with that center cap for a decade. Don't get me wrong, if I was pushing a $100K+ sports car it would have some shiny new Flow Forms on there. With that said, spending just under half the value of my car on some custom wheels is insane to me.

I just came across this because I wanted to see what CLS55 with Verde Axis wheels would look like, and I'd even take them over something like a Forgestar F14. They're wheels and bound to get bent, even if they are forged so I really really like that look. Insanely aggressive but still classy and not bling-sh*tty.

Every forged wheel (3-piece) I have had - has bent. I have not tried a mono block forged wheel but I assume they hold up better. HRE's are old school awesome, but Christ: Bending them the day after they were fixed for the second time: Goodbye
I really like these too, especially on a CLS
You can find some great designs in cast with weights very close to their $10X couterparts. And like shoes, they just need to be replaced often anyway. Hold on to these, you may want to go back, or: If the LA potholes do to you what the San Diego pot holes did to me, you'll need them every 3 months anyway
