Did this a few months ago when I changed gaskets. Stuff is easy to work with and the results are fantastic

That looks great. Just tape up the AMG letters and spray? How many layers?

I put a thin layer of Vaseline on the amg letters. Wipe it off after the paint dries. Then I hit it with a sanding block, being careful not to hit the tank. It's easy.

Follow the directions on the can. Need to spray it on thick then heat it in the sun or with a heat gun to get the wrinkles. You can also paint over it with regular high heat paint if you want a different color. I was thinking about doing a gunmetal or something.

I don't have any of that. Would Astro Glide work?

Next Q: Where did you get the paint? Ace Hardware and Wal-Mart didn't have it.

Lol. Got mine from eBay.

Might want to check an auto parts store. Amazon too.

It says Eastwood on the can. They have some great products for the garage as well.

Are there any gaskets that need to be replaced when you paint these?

You could reuse the gaskets but there are no guarantees

Local auto parts store had some VHT valve cover wrinkle paint, so I did mine up yesterday. Since I had everything around the supercharger off, I went ahead, taped it up, and hit it with a light coat of Duplicolor silver caliper paint. It came out real nice and didn't take much paint at all:

Might be a stretch. I did both tanks with one can and it feels like there's a little less than half left. Ten bucks per can.

It was buried deep within that 3-sentence post of mine, but yep, i hit it with a light coat of Duplicolor silver caliper paint. Looks 100x better. Pretty easy to do if the surge tanks are off.
