Long story short I sold my e63...miss it almost everyday! (Had 2 sell at the time)
Now im seriously considering e55...see what all the fuss is about!
Wish gunmoto was selling his! Lol
More seriously, id strongly prefer a stock vehicle. I think the motor and tyranny are strong so im okay if the milage is near 100k with regular maintenance records .I'm the type that belives a car driven is better then sitting. ..I'm sure there are still some good ones left....not in a hurry 2 buy

I saw 2319's car and its definitely something to think about. I know its heavily modded, and I have no experience in modded cars..i'd like to get a car I can really put a lot of miles on to possibly even daily and go on a long (2500 miles) road trip fairly soon after purchase.

from the looks of it his is very well taken care of and tastefully modded too... which shouldn't affect your road trip drives at all. And you can kill Bmw's while doing your road trips lol

I think you should have test drove the E55 first. It depends on what you like, they're night and day and I don't mean better and worse I mean just different, they really have completely different personalities but the E55 is a little crazier. The E63 is way more refined, the E55 is like a roid munching bodybuilder on crack

I know Serge at BenzWorks just finished restoring (paint, motor, suspension,lights) a white 06 E55 with black interior with 100k on the odometer. Call him up he may be selling it soon.

You can buy mine for $20k. It's got 81k miles and is the best of both cars having the look( front and rear) of the E63 while having the supercharged powertrain.
It's stock mechanically except for preventative maintenance type stuff like all the seals on the engine (valve covers, water pump, front and rear mains) plus new oil pump drive chain and tensioner/spring. Way more too, Pm me if you're interested and I'll go over it.

Congrats on the sale and good luck in your search. I love my '04 E55 and picked it vs looking at E63's (which we talked about) for modding. Add an E63 conversation plus the mods and it makes for a pretty hard to beat combo.

Berti- your right...I liked how this one is optioned and its a 2006..but yes the mileage is quite high...IDK how much life is still left in that motor lol. ANY tell tale signs to look for to see if the car has been modded? either bolt on or tuned? Like i said i have zero experience in modding. Everything I know so far, I owe to your knowledge on this forum.
I did some research on the dealer...Their google reviews look fake (most of them) and BBB has some major complaints..but I guess you can expect much from these small dealers...
attached is the carfax as well..Let me know what yall think and if I do decide to go see it. What are the major things you all would recommend.
I guess one crazy thing when buying from a dealer is I THINK they might be able to sell me a warranty??? Thoughts on that???
edit: I called the dealer. He said that they will be able to offer a warranty on this car through WELLS FARGO POWER TRAIN PLUS for roughly 3k....
anyone have experience with wells fargo powertrain+ warranty?
