The beating heart of the Q50 Eau Rouge is a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V6 engine with 560hp and a predicted top speed close to 180 mph. It pays homage to the very pinnacle of motorsport competition, Infiniti Red Bull Racing’s RB10 racecar". - See more at: http://www.infinitiusa.com/now/futur....UsnWd3sd.dpuf

No surprise that once Johan left Audi for Infiniti, he would be building up the performance brand like he did with the RS line for Audi. I'd be interested if there was a wagon variant.

Looks awesome, but the last i read this was still a test vehicle and they had not said weather they were going ahead with production. From the video and the info on the site it would imagine they are moving forward with making them. The real key will be the price point...

Hate to say it but if this thing is going to be an AWD VR38 platform I'd strongly consider a trade in.

Well our electronics are old, but our power & performance are still great...I beat a 2014 m5 yesterday (first time I have run one) - the m5 owner (an aussie) was very cool about getting spanked and could not believe my car was a 2006 .

The TT F-10? That thing is an animal. Must have been one helluva race? Those things rip 0-100kmph in 3,6 secs.

Real nice but,
Even as nice as this might be its still a Japanese car which is not for me. It looks like every every other car does now. Nothing too distinctive about it. Something about a Benz. Cool commercial I must admit.

We would have another competitor on the road. That's all I'm saying lol

Also if it does get a GT-R engine in it - it would be very mod friendly too right ? Tune alone and it'll be 6xx something WHP.

So this car would be in the new TT territory.

With the mods I have - I , surely am no competition.

Speculation says it'll be priced in high 70's -which makes one wonder -is there a market for people spending that much dough on a Japanese based super sedan ?

Still not conformed they are going to build it.

Shows potential, and def might be FAST, but will more likely feel as soulless as a GTR.
Plus it's a 6.

Also won't be much cheaper than a new E63S.

In other words....meh!

Well AWD + v6 twin turbo + luxury + japanese reliability should be a good combo...

I read it is not going to be AWD and it is going to be around 100K. E63 AWD would be a no brainer over that IMO. Cant wait till they drop in price. Toss a tune on it and have a sub 3 second 0-60 4 door sedan..... crazy

Infiniti is very reliable and their customer service is very good as well, they would never make anyone drive around with fuel pooling in their cars etc.

I had an infiniti and the dash bubbled because of the sun , they changed the whole dash free of charge

Exactly...

People are quick to forget all the "little problems" (e.g. gas tank, SBC, airmatic, head issues, etc.) that MB has had and not handled properly...

Hmm let me think about this. $100k+ for an infinity of buy an E55 for @$20k and do some mods.

Pretty easy choice.

Supposedly it will be less than $70K....but yes $70K is still a lot of money to most people...

Infiniti now does a great lease term, you put 8k down (max they allow) to get payments lower and when you return it after the lease you get your 8k back, that's pretty good

I'm hearing close to 100K and A VERY limited run...something like 5000 cars total the first year.

Regarding the mod thing. If this is anything like a GT-R and signs point to it having the VR38 then for about $4000 in parts and tuning it will be capable of putting down about 600whp on 93 octane. The VR38 is such a tunable engine. Stock block with just upgraded internals can safely support 1400whp if built right. The big wild card here will be the transmission as the Infinity is not getting the nice DCT GR6 Trans but a standard Automatic trans.
