Pushing her just a little more...
So I'm seriously considering BenzWorks advice as I'm waiting to get a new SC pulley. This is the second one I've had to go through. First one, as everyone knows, had a spring break. The second one now had a soft spring. One side of the pulley touches the clutch plate, while the other doesn't. In any case, Eurocharged is being awesome and getting me a replacement, so no complaints there.
But I'm seriously considering another option simply because as cool as it is, getting my pulley replaced every so often is a bit annoying. So I'm considering moving up to a 175 dampened pulley and going to the stock SC pulley. With headers, one-step colder spark plugs and filters, with a proper tune I'm assuming I'm going to get considerably more kick than out of the SC pulley, right?
Anyone have a guesstimate on what I can expect?
Oh, and does a TCU actually do much? Considering doing one of those, too. Basically, it's going to be 175, upgraded H/E and TCU.

It looks like you have pretty much what I'm going for, so if you're saying it's good, it's got to be promising. I know I'll get more power out of the 175 over the SC, and I want to get more power out of the car to the limit where I don't have to worry about throttle body/fuel rail/injector issues.
Guess I've got some thinking to do while I wait. Have you ever dyno'ed your car?

Already got the headers and tune. Just a matter of deciding to go back to the SC pulley, or moving up to the 175. The car as is is already pretty fast with the SC pulley, but based off that SC rotation chart, the 175 should be even better. I figure with upgrading the TCU, better cooling and the bigger crank, I should get more than enough power to ruin people's days on a consistent basis while keeping her reliable, heh.

You could do both.. 175 crank and smaller SC pulley and REALLY ruin alot of peoples days, just ask the guy with the brand new R8 V10 I killed 2 weeks ago.. The only other thing you should do is split your cooling system, it will really help with heat, which is a big issue when you add more boost.. Good luck
Will the stack be safe enough for that?

My concern with that though is that if I stack both pulleys, aren't I running the risk or leaning out the engine too far and ruining it? The last thing I need is a blown motor. I really don't want to start switching fuel rails and injectors, etc.

YES you should put 550 inj's on and a looped rail, not a big deal, go to buckehesd for those parts, (really easy and fairly cheap for peace of mind).. I would also add the BWK and call it a day, you can now kill almost anything.. Should have seen the guy's face in the 175k R8 afterwords (PRICELESS)..
