Trans adapter plug replacement ?
I have some slight dripping from the trans adapter plug ,,, was wondering how much fluid will come out and if it's a straightforward remove/replace,,,, it looks like you remove the belly pan and heat shield and then R&R --- is it that easy ?

tranny plug
you dont have to actually remove the belly pan. if you have more than 50k miles and the tranny service have not been done, then be a good idea to do it all at one time. but if you have done the tranny service, just remove the plug. very little tranny fluid will leak out when you remove the plug while the belly pan is attached. just be careful with the small screw in the middle of the plug, it doesnt need to be too tight, just snug. feel the force you use to loosen the screw and reapply with similar effort. very easy r&r.

This is a recall item .. at least it was on my car. I didn't realize until much later and had replaced myself. Call your dealer to see if the recall work had been done. Also sometimes the fluid can wick all the way to the TCU so you might want to check that also.
