Retrofitting C63 Facelift steering wheel to E55/E63
has anyone retrofitted a C63-steering wheel into an E-class (W211) or a CLS (C219).
Which parts are necessary to do so?

Sorry man!
If you do not have any idea/constructive input, shut up!![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)
Here in Germany are a few people, who retrofit C63 MOPF-steering wheels in W211 or C219.
They also retrotit the steering wheels into a R230 and W171.
The retrofits are very expensive with about 2000€ (2600US$)
I want to know how it works, because it is possible!!

You wrote nothing about trying C63-steering wheels in your car.
You only wrote it is impossible!
These are two completely different answers.

So, what did you try?
- Hardware changes?
- Changing the steering column module?
- Changing the contact spiral?
- Coding?
Maybe I did not know this before!?
Maybe I found this information after opening this thread/writing my first post?

I contacted one of these retrofitters yesterday.
He told me to use a special control unit, developed by himself, to enable the steering wheel in a W211.
He also told me about a lot of soldering work on the steering wheel board.
I asked to buy one of these control units and to get instructions about the soldering work, but he denied both.

I retrofitted a W211 E63 wheel into my 2004 E55 (others said it was not possible).
