Custom color combinations...

My allocation will soon be ready to have it's order placed. I've a question regarding custom color combinations: Are they possible? If so, at what cost?
I'd like my car to be white, with sand interior.- I'm familiar with process of custom ordering BMWs here in North America( it basically requires your
dealer to have a "buddy" at BMW N.A. and a non-refundable $1500 -$3000 fee).
-- What is the process with MB NA if custom orders are available at all?

I'd love to have some information before making this request of my dealer...
Thanks in advance!

The MBUSA site on `Build your own' talks about custom colors for 1100 (?) dollars.

I asked my dealer. They knew nothing about it. I would be very interested in the real answer. I am confused by the designo and AMG options on color which seem to be much higher.

I have not explored this much in detail. But if you find out I would be most interested to know.

The E 55 does not have the greatest choice of colors -- if you do not care for the black - grey - silver range. BTW MB used to have a beautiful ivory.

From my understanding, you can order any color that is available at the factory your car is being built. I think the S,CL, SL are built in the same factory as the E so you can pick any of those available for those models. There will be the upcharge for this. Your salesman will have to the some leg work to get MBUSA to get this done, but its not really a problem for DC to do from their end.

I was told the same thing by a former district manager for MBUSA. MB doesn't like to do it especially if you are building an ugly combination but it can be done. The dealers are mostly lazy and don't want to go to the extra effort.

Thanks. My dealer is trying hard ot be nice and helpful. But does not seem ot be that well informed.

The MBUSA site also talks of interior options. Anyone know what this means?

Congrats on your dealer trying to be nice and helpful. Every MB delaership I have been to sucks, at least the sales side.

430, too bad you are in Atlanta. If you were here, I would introduce you.

I think I found a good Dealer in FL. The car is supposed to be here tomorrow. I am going to withhold judgement until then. But so far everything has been positive.
