random misfire code cyl 4 and 7

I got on my car part throttle up a hill through the gears and then it felt funny got a cel, scanned it at home and had random misfire codes for cyl 4 and 7 cleared them drove it and it was fine. Is this a sighn of bad coil packs?

Check your coils and wires
Did moisture get in the engine bay?

Probably wires way before coils. If they're the originals, get new MB or Bosch ones.
Are you running the stock injectors still?
How many miles?

check the connector to the coil. Sometimes they work them selves loose. You could also swap the plugs, wires and coils with another cylinder and see if the cel comes back.

I will check the wires then get more gas into the car and see if it happens again.

I started a thread in this very same issue (https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...der-113-a.html) and it remains a mystery still. To date there has been no re-occurrence over the last 1000 miles and the engine has been functioning flawlessly.

coworker got P0300 and P0301. Car was idling rough and after 60mph, it would fall on its face and get the codes. Decided to put fuel injector cleaner and tank of gas at a different place and no more codes and idling alot smoother than before.
