E55 Belt wrap kit but still slippage
Hello Friends,
i installed a belt wrap kit on my e55 w211 to eleminate the belt slippage.
my only mod is a S/C pulley.
I installed the correct belt (ask in the forum a while before) but i still have a bit belt slippage.
What could it be? I hate this quieeeeeek sound.
Thanks.

Check your supercharger belt tensioner, as they do wear out and can allow tension loss on the belt.

Is there anyway to truly test if the S/C belt tensioner is going bad?
Mine has heavy tension and is hard to release but I see fluxuating boost reading when I am at WOT, have never seen the full 13psi (83mm pulley) except when initially stepping on it. Then it drops to about 11.6psi I saw 12.0 once with ESP off but not the expected and have no breathing mods.

^ This, just sounds like the Chirp..
I fitted my BWK when my E55 was bone stock - besides fitting an 010 pump and Heat Exchanger a few weeks before hand, I had the chirp and after fitting the kit the chirp disappeared - well at least until the belt got a bit of stretch in it - ~3-4 weeks, it has returned but not as much (soon to be an EX stock WORN pulley)
I have however noticed from day one, originally when at WOT my vehicle used to pulse when going through the rev range, where you would feel torque drop off and come back as if I was feathering the throttle, sometimes more than others - kind of a hit and miss, AIT's were ok and logged and it was not due to these being high (my guess now is boost loss due to belt slip - these were new belts as well)
After the BWK it was smooth boost as if it was an N/A all the way through the rev range until gear shift
Also there used to be times when I would stomp on it and the ol butt dyno would not get pushed into the seat as much sometimes, but after the BWK every time I put my foot down the car takes off when expected
I have recently had my grubby hands into the pulleys and swapped a couple out and have had a decent look and there seems to be no belt dust around the thermostat housing etc that was caked in dust when I fitted the kit
Overall I am happy with the kit and if there is any more belt slip it has to be minimal and the drivability of the vehicle afterwards is actually really good
This is just my experience with the/a belt wrap kit
My guess is you are still hearing the chirp and expecting the BWK to remove it
Plus boosting it in say first gear and then buttoning off before gear change has also been known to make an outright squeal

I have gotten this sound upon immediate acceleration and deceleration. But to answer the
StuttgartAMG's question -
I have a 83mm clutched pulley, UPD BWK I beleive belt is a Dayco 53.5". I have a 54.25" on previously and felt it was slipping.
I still see belt dust on the Belt wrap kit occassionally and also never get a reading above 11.6psi even though I occassionally get 13.1 psi when immediately WOTed so it's more than likely not the Torque app that Im using. Could it be my Pulley bearing? It makes a very very light sound when hand spun beltless.
