When Removing The Resonator, Any Adverse Effects?
I removed my Resonator on my 2006 Stock E55. It didn't do much for the sound, but unless I am just being paranoid, the car seems to stutter a little on acceleration and seems kinda down on power. Maybe I am being paranoid because I have been driving the GTR quite a bit this week and need to adjust to the heavy *** accel pedal on the E55.
Does the computer need time to adjust maybe?

E63---- I did it to mine the cheaper way, just paid a muffler shop to put in two straight pipes. Car ran no different, just a low growl that was fairly consistent. Now under WOT major difference in sound. Just got another 63 and not sure if I want to do it to this one. BUT/...... my only issue was the shop tacked the pipes up a little high, so especially when raining the pipes swell and move a little, and caused a vibration from rubbing on a brace below. Very annoying and we tried to fix but didn't before I let that one go. But, on the 63 should make no difference. Not sure if the supercharger and that slight pressure release make any, but I highly doubt that would cause your issues. Might be just in your head

I had my resonators removed over a year ago from my beast tubes and I have zero issues. I was warned I might get drone, but nothing so far. I took mine out because they constantly bottomed out on every speed bump in my neighbourhood as I am running twin 88mm straight pipes.

Your ECU will automatically adjust unless you have removed your cats.
Save your money, but if you feel the need to reset something then just disconnect your trunk battery for 30 mins, then reconnect - you should get much better throttle response and your car will feel more 'alive'.

There is a difference between 'clearing codes' and resetting the ECU. Clearing codes is done using a STAR or other diagnostic computer interface which will clear any error messages, etc. Disconnecting the battery will clear your 'driving style history' and default back to factory settings. This should get rid of any heavy accelerator pedal feel, making throttle response a lot more instant and crisper. Check out the thread 'sneaky ECU reset really works' to get a better understanding of what I am on about.
