hi all.

finally decided to go ***** in with the mods on my ride. will start building headers soon. in the meanwhile, i would like to order a meth kit.

which one would you advise?
please link me whatever you think is the best kit.

 

Best meth kit is aquamist also the most expensive

I run a Devilsown kit with only a pre post nozzle set to spray at 11psi, no complaints here.

 

I am seriously considering meth as well especially with a fixed solid pulley going on the car soon. I guess I do not really need anything special just one that will work under wot and certain boost levels.

How much of a pain is it to install? IE wiring it to the car?

Im getting ready to pull the trigger too. Which meth kit though? There are several, one that runs off boost, manifold pressure, and MAF sensor....not sure which one is best to work with?

 

I'm no expert but the shop who installed my kit said it would be the safest so the bogging issue doesn't become present like some people have with pre and after post Nozzels. my car is tuned for the meth most use it for cooling only.

Fluid motor union out of plainfield il but I will be getting a new tune from BIP once it warms up as they tune for meth aswell.

 

From what I understand bip nor EC will tune for meth, in other words they will not add timing to take advantage of the extra octane, they will use for cooling though

 

I know EC doesn't but Jason said they will if that's what I want, so I guess we will see once I make the switch. I hope they do i thought I read somewhere Craig was tuned for it on his previous setup maybe he can chime in.

No craig was not tuned for it, he used it for cooling. Unless you have failsafes within the tune and meth system then tuning for it can lead to catastrophic failure it something goes wrong

 

So then you are not tuned for 93oct, you are tuned for the meth octane

 

You really won't gain a lot of HP from adding more timing....the big benefit will be cooling and the ability to run more boost (over just pump gas). Just make sure you have great failsafes....

 

There only so much boost you can run without going into limp mode unless using a map clamp

You mean is the aquamist better than the aem? Yes it works off a very different system , nothing is a as linear and their nozzles are very good also. If I could go back I would buy the aquamist.

 

Theres some good deals for snow performance kits on JEGS!!! Which one to buy though, theres several different kinds in the way they activate????

 

Any shops sell these meth kits like the aquamist? Seems EC does not and will not install (called last week, said he will check if they do, no more responses)

 

If you are in the US, then howerington engineering is the only one, unless there are resellers

Installation should not be hard, as for tuning, EC will not tune for the extra octane(adding timing etc) but can be used for cooling. You can use a smaller nozzle and add less meth to the mix so it will not affect the afr so much
