Funny because that's what I was thinking yesterday!
![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Drivers door handle (keyless entry didn't work)
Both batteries new
Changed oil and Mercedes filter
change belts
replace one horn
Brake switch replace
Did pump mod so it always runs when key is on
Changed wheels (stock) and brand new tires (had new tires when I got it)
Bought new spare wheel to match
Put stock air intake system on (see what was on it in classifieds lol)
Also got front engine cover so under hood looks stock
Added rear trunk spoiler
Changed grille to stock (new) instead of black
Waiting for front lip spoiler and rear diffuser both CF (Tues. 12/16)
Flat hood badge
Polished headlights to absolutely brand new
I know there are things I am forgetting but I will think of them eventually.

Keep in mind...I paid $17.5k for a 2006 with almost every option...$17.5k I said, with mods (approx. $4k) and in white which is hard to find! Not $20k or $22k...It has NEVER had any paintwork anywhere and it is extremely clean. The interior is mint as you have seen, the wood trim is perfect as well. It has drilled rotors, brakes are good for another 20k miles and tires were brand new.
I go through everything when I get a car and I am driving to Florida with it in 2 weeks. I am in the biz and have many friends help me out as well so I have put $2k into the car including appearance mods! Keep I mind, I didn't have to service some of the things, some of things weren't needed at all (like the stock wheels, the stock air intake system, the cabin air filter box, mine has a small crack in the corner not even visible...etc). I just wanted to do this stuff and also that $2k includes, trunk spoiler, CF front lip, CF rear diffuser, flat hood badge and everything written in prior post and I am sure I forgot a few things.
Bottom line, find me a 2006 loaded car in this cosmetic condition with mods for $17.5k with no hits or paintwork and I will buy that one too!

Either way, even if I got ROBBED...I wanted this exact car, color, options and mods! I would have paid $20k if you really want to know!

Way of life I've learned in my old age. A badge is worth a whole lot more than what's under the skin more than half the time.

Not really, back in 2006, Mercedes was also Chrysler so you could say that going to GM from Chrysler is a step up. I believe reliability got better after they got rid of Chrysler.

Mercedes was never Chrysler. Diamler Chrysler was a thinly disguised attempt to give the Chrysler people a point of engagement when it actuality they totally kept the Chrysler side in the dark. Mercedes owned Chrysler and was calling the shots at Chrysler and not the other way around. I'm not defending MB during this time frame but the reason the cars were not very dependable from this era had nothing to do with any influence Chrysler put on MB.
