After many years away from Atco (and the fond memories of running my E55 down that strip in great air), I took my 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo down last week.
Ran a best of 10.862 at 127.94 on a 1.609 60' (bogged a bit). Went through the 1/8th in 6.992 secs @ 101.1, meaning the car will hit 100 mph in 6.XX seconds. (Remember when 10 seconds to 100 was fast??)
My car has a Europipe exhaust - which replaces everything after the turbos (Cats, mid pipes, mufflers) but is otherwise stock.
Unlike in the E55, I can't do a burnout in this car to warm up the tires because it is AWD. And the cold surface hurts the launch. Using launch control in the summer on the street, my g-meter showed 1.30 g's of acceleration. When this thing launches as it is supposed to, it makes you a little sick. My kids love it.
I had to use tire warmers to try to get some heat in the rears before I staged. Unfortunately, I lost most of that heat while waiting to run. Never topped my 1.30g's, so I know a better 60' time is there to be had.
We will do a March rental, and I will go right to the tree with hot tires.
Thought I would check in and report since there are still some "old timers" lurking.
All the best guys. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

A GIAC tune will give me another 100 plus WHP and 60 plus WTQ with 100 octane and 50 WHP and 50 WTQ with 91 octane. These gains are on top of my exhaust. Nuts.

give undercover tuning a shout. they are in nj and garth has gotten some great gains with the cobb tuner. i had a gaic tune and then a retune on my 996 turbo and on 103 octane only saw about 50 hp gain. went epl and saw 75 hp gain (over stock). went standalone and found even more .Originally Posted by enzom

i watch the 997 991 forum and cobb seems to have a good rep and high quality products its crazy how much power the new pcars can see from just a tune and exhaust!!

Gratz on the 10.86 but... If there's another 100+ whp on the table (& possibly a Sub 1.60 60') 9.9x is going to look a ton better.. Get that tune & the accompanying 9.9x 1/4 slip
Off topic but did you see the latest stats for 2015 CTS-V 650 hp 640 tq topping out going model nicely that was rated @ 550+ hp etc.. These HP wars are far from over, the latest cars are just insane... IE Audi RS7 ecu ONLY ran 10.69 @ 131mph etc etc
Almost forgot Dodge HellCat 707 hp runs 10.85 bone stock on 20"s using drag radials.. & Mercedes e63 S awd ECU only is running 10.85 @ 130+ These aren't Supercars, w/Supercar pricing though the performace is Supercar level... Curious, just how ridiculous the hp/tq & actual performance level is going to get in these cars before the Government steps in & shuts all this fun down?

Beautiful car. Every man should have a P_car at one point in this life. They are something else all together.
