Do you make anything for the E55 "button" shifters? The ones you posted don't work on ours but nice product.

Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately we currently only have one application for this paddle

Make an extension for our button shifters that's attractive, priced well, and adds to the look of the interior and you will have a lot of business. Swapping steering wheels is expensive as well as complicated. most average Joe's are terrified to swap airbags. Make a stick on and you have my business

Are they just held on with double-sided tape?

I was under the understanding that the W211 E63 comes with the metal paddles. I apologize if this is not the case

You have two options to mount these, either with double sided tape or permanently with epoxy.

the W211 E63 does have aluminum paddle shifters. the W211 E55 does not. also double sided tape will not be adequate for use. I've pulled back on these shifters so hard i bet even epoxy would snap off. There is a reason why the E63 and newer come with aluminum paddle shifters, so they don't break.

From our testing we did find the double sided tape to be adequate to hold the carbon paddles onto the aluminum paddles under regular shifting force, even under sporty driving. Many vendors who sell these types of add on paddles recommend this method of installation. Epoxy will definitely hold the paddles on unless you try to purposely break the carbon piece. From my personal experience I rarely find myself needing to pull the paddle hard anyways as it does not make a difference in shift times or paddle engagement. Ofcourse this might vary for different people, but I really do not see how you can break the paddles from just shifting.

if you have the E63 paddle conversion to the E55 it will work only draw back being it may be too close to the turn signals (one fingers space).
