got mine a few months ago but got it installed this weekend with the rest of the pullies, im glad to feel protected if the supercharger pulley ever lets go
Got the scatter shield installed today. If the tools are out it shouldn't take any more than 5 mins.
Super easy.
Thanks again Chris.
I purchased one in January from Chris . I had my car in for another issue and my tech noticed my stock sc pulley was ready to go any day .We each ordered one then. Chris is a stand up guy . The part is top notch and the protection it provides is worth every penny. Every kompressor car. Should have one regardless of if your car is stock or modded .
He did mine for my DCT Wheel and let me say YEAH BABY.. Great Mod. Great work..
Its only right that AMGs should have AMG paddles. Glad you are enjoying them as much as I enjoy the paddles on all of my AMGs

Yes, they are available now. If you PM me your email address, I will reply quickly and we can take it from there.
Cheers,

hey man, so had a upd 83mm pulley break a clutch spring thank god i caught it before it came out and weed whacked my engine.
Shardul was nice enough to replace the springs and bearing on my original pulley as it got toasted due to constant contact with clutch.
boggles my mind how everything ive bought from him has failed to date,.
full bwk has had 2 failed 2 bearings, 83mm pulley failed springs and bearing, sold my camber arm kit for a massive loss, guy installed it and that broke on him after the first launch lol.
I generally recommend that the top-front cover be left off so that it is easier to inspect the SC pulley for signs of eminent failure.
But, while I don't run the front cover on my car I am sure that there are many who want to (or want to be able to) .... so the scattershield has been designed to allow use of the top-front cover.
Here are a few pics. In the close-up, you should be able to see the scattershield through the open space around the emblem.
Thanks for your interest and raising the question of cover fittage.
UPDATE: Bought my shield from Chris (latemodel21).
Received it in 2 days. It was packaged very nicely, hardware was sealed with Chris' business card.
The install was a breeze, I didnt even have to take the idler pulley off. Just removed the SC belt, slipped the shield on, tightened it, belt back on and voila. I did the cover mod too which took another minute.
All in all: Chris was pleasant to deal with for the purchase. Product arrived in 2 days. Packaging was nice. Appears to be good quality. Install was a breeze. Looks like it'll definitely be excellent protection from any potential damage from a pulley failure.
saw a picture of a guys engine on this forum with oil cooler lines cut and his t-stat housing broken from an upper pulley strap "weed wacking the engine" so I purchase the shield from Chris ,within 2 weeks my upper 84 mm pulley let loose ,no noise at all just felt like s/c belt fell off, opened hood and saw shield a little adjar and belt shredded ,closer inspection showed broken upper pulley strap, pulley was 3 1/2 yrs old at least ,without the shield it would have been a mess,I highly recommend .

Sounds like the shield contained everything and the only damage was the belt? If so, i feel even better about installing it

I couldn't agree more.
I have had a more than a few members buy a scattershield after they have had a catastrophic pulley failure. I even had one member contact me about a scattershield and then put off getting it for a couple of months ... until his pulley blew up ... and then he finally bought a shield (after replacing broken components, cut oil line, etc).
If a pulley is going to self-distruct, I would much rather have those stories be like Centerline's
Happy Holidays to all !
Chris
Hey Chris, were all the pulley failures smaller pulleys or have you seen a stock pulley fail?

You must be the first dude to have put the scattershield to test and it clearly did its job.. Testament, I like it. Makes me warm and fuzzy knowing I am a bit safer than without one)))
