AMG55 Scattershield for Supercharger pulley

You are welcome. Let me know what you end up doing on this.
Glad to help ! It was good meeting you and getting to check out your awesome E55!
Thanks for the kind words : )
Cheers,
Chris

as of 10-12-15 .... all of the "long post" (NON universal) shields are gone.
there are only universal shields in stock (and production) ... SO, there is no longer a need to determine if you have a long or short post. The current model fits all AMG 55k motors.
The current batch of universal shields is almost gone, but there will be more in a few weeks.
Cheers,
Chris

should have more available in 3 - 4 weeks
contact me if you want to be notified when they become available again.
Cheers,
Chris

Thank you, Chris! Outstanding product and I highly recommend it.

I suppose I've been remiss in not including the time for re-installing the engine cover (unscrew the clips and install the modified hardware) as part of the time for the install ... (as it something that can be done later ...or never). So it was good of you to include that in your total so folks can get a better Idea of the total job beginning to end (in the event that they are having someone quote the install)... Thanks!
Cheers,
Chris

My car is booked into a garage this Friday to have both belts changed, belt wrap kit and all the pulleys replaced (except at this stage the supercharger one) with ASP items, will have the Scattershield fitted at the same time.
Many Thanks Chris

Thanks for the kind words, Andy.
... and it good to see that USPS was able to get it to you in England within their 6-10 day published delivery estimate (barely : )
Cheers,
Chris

Please feel free to call me on my cell and let's figure out what you have going on here.
Cheers,
Chris
Honestly if I hadn't tested it on and off the car under the hood, I may have never heard it. Since I heard it with the hood open, I know what to listen for and can hear it while idling of low low rpm in a quiet neighborhood (6:30am in my neighborhood). In other words not that noticeable and probably wont be noticeable with a larger pulley such as the 83mm

If you get a chance, post a video .... some may consider the light air movement sound a bonus
Thanks for your help James !

The closest it has come to being tested was one member contacted me about info on a scattershield for his car last May; I sent him some info right back. Then I heard nothing until (last month) after he started a new thread https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ull-speed.html ... then he contacted me for a second time and bought one. So if he had bought it when he first thought about it ... I am sure his thread would have been very different.
Cheers,
Chris
The attention he has put into every detail of his product and service to customers is something that is rare now.
This is a very nice and quality made product.
Unfortunately I was tied up last weekend and wasn't able to install it. Hopefully this weekend I can get it on. I actually bought 2 one for my E55 and one for my sons E.
I will update after the install on how it went and I have no doubt it will be a breeze.
Chris has it completely together. Do not hesitate to contact him.
Thanks Chris!

The install literally only takes a few minutes, but if you have any questions before, during, or after... don't hesitate to call me on my Cell number that I included in the information I send out with these.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with (got paddles ? : )
Cheers,
Chris

Don't wait until it's too late. It is good insurance to have this shield even if you have a stock SC pulley. Read some of the story's and the cost involved to repair damaged parts.
Think about some of those 6-7k revs you do.....It will change your mind.
Thanks Chris, my son has some ideas he may want to talk with you about concerning the paddle shifters.

Super easy.
Thanks again Chris.

Since I supply the allen wrench with the scattershield, as you discovered, the only other tool you need is a 17mm wrench to relax the tensioner a little to temporarily move the belt out of the way (nothing to unbolt and/or re-torque).
Cheers,
Chris

Your 2006 E55 does not need the converter module (as it is already electronically compatible with the AMG aluminum paddles), but I could physically modify your wheel and install the paddles if you want some.

Chris
